Fencing
This is one of the oldest fencing styles adopted in the West. It was fully developed in the 16th century. It uses a blade primarily used for thrusting, the Rapier, which is well balanced. It is also rarely called the "slashing rapier". If a fencer chooses a Style (see below), it will most likely be Wrestling. A second weapon Technique will be dagger before any other.

For anyone who has a technique rating in Rapier, the following maneuvers are available to learn in addition to the basic maneuvers listed in the Contenders book. Rapier Fencing may be learned by anyone with a rapier weapon (that is, any weapon that relies on the swords technique) listed in their style description as a preferred weapon at normal cost.
Rapier fencing may be learned as a style also, with the practitioner only focusing on the following maneuvers (and of course, other maneuvers with a listing for "any" in their Power Point ratings).
