A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
Part 1: The Lost Sector
Jessa Argo is to meet with Senator Ondsec from the world of Jarintine, a small world in the outer rim territories. Jarintine is a neutral world not affiliated with either the New Republic or the remains of the Empire. He asks for a neutral escort to his home world and gathers the services of Molok Brandenburg, Torbet Barmon and Corvin Jager. In escorting the senator to his ship, they run into mercenaries setting explosives to the senator's ship. Stopping the mercenaries, they interrogate them and learn that they were hired by Thicon Respo from Jarintine.
Not wanting to involve the Jarintine authorities (after all, the mercenaries dodged or possibly bribed their way through the New Republic and Jarintine authorities), the senator once again hires the group to investigate. On the way to Jarintine, the group is attacked by 5 automated ships which they are able to stop with the help of the Jarintine defense. Someone knew they were coming. In his ship, called the Pathfinder, and Corbin, in his ship, The Saber, the heroes land on Jarintine and find Thicon at the Gar Ulan spaceport.
They also find Greekan, a bounty hunter apparently hired to kill them. Defeating Greekan, they begin to ask questions and find out that Thicon was very afraid that Ondsec would find out that he had been shipping weapon and droid parts to private buyers in the Shadow Nebula.
Investigating into the nebula as traders working for Thicon, they plan to uncover the secret arms buyers - only to discover that the buyer is the empire - with a fleet of Star destroyers, a Super Star Destroyer, and a base station similar to the Death Star! Captured by the empire, they hide in scan-proof equipment carriers and wait until they are stocked by droids. They then escape, discovering that the Empire has an army of robotic stormtroopers. Jessa Argo is captured, and brought to this sect of the Empire's leader - Darth Murderous, a clone made to house the Emperor's spirit but never used. Still, he is quite powerful with The Force and claimed to be a Sith Lord.
Rescued by her friends, the characters escape, leave the Shadow Nebula, and alert the Republic Fleet of the impending danger.
Of course, the Republic sends most of it's fleet to attempt to force the Empire to surrender. Too late, the heroes learn that the device similar to the Death Star is actually device designed to create a field powerful enough to send an entire fleet across the galaxy within moments. Darth Murderous allowed the escape to lure the Republic fleet into hyperspace, so that the Empire could appear in the Core Worlds and take over with ease. If close enough to the field, but not within it, they discovered that the Republic Fleet, in hyperspace, also could be destroyed.
Calling the Republic ships close enough to respond, the small force, led by Admiral Ka'Kar (a mon calamari) designed a desperate plan - to attack the device while it was operational and it's shields were down. Being much smaller than the Death Star, it could conceivably be made inoperational by a strong enough attack if the shield generator, located on a small moon inside the Shadow Nebula, was destroyed.
The battle was fierce and many of the Republic died. In the end, the attack force, led by field Captains Molok, Torbet and Corvin was successful. The Vaulter, as the base had become known, was destroyed, emitting a gigantic field of energy that spread throughout the entire sector.
Part 2: The New Rebellion
The heroes now discovered that the field of energy, created to fold space itself, caused the sector to vault to an unknown region of space, bringing everything with it, including the worlds nearby. Being cut of from the Republic, the heroes now found themselves the underdog, left with a small group of ships facing a much more powerful Empire. No star charts or databanks allowed them to locate the Republic - they were lost, in an area of space barely known to the Republic and under no authority. Quickly they began to look at each of the worlds involved. Which would make powerful or important allies? Which had ship building capabilities? Which had food?
Deciding that the fleet would need ships, the Republic sends Jessa Argo as a representative to deal with the senators of Saluni, which had the largest shipbuilding facility of the sector.
The senators, already contacted by the empire, knew that the sector was "lost", but had not told the general public, although they knew that the news would break within days. Senator Zarkan would have sided with the republic, but the characters found that he had died in a droid factory accident. The characters investigate the accident with the help of Onvee, who helped them get into the factory. Onvee also took the heroes to a casino where they met senators Dalado, and Santio, who informed them that some senators had decided to form with the empire, others with the Republic, and others still had remained neutral. Senator Shlemo had died at the factory but the characters went to investigate (including the senators body which showed signs of blaster damage).
Following the trail of evidence back to it's source, the character's discovered 8-GAR, an assassin droid, docked and ready to leave. While investigating the ship, the characters were attacked by 8-GAR himself. The battle was intense, with 8-GAR willing to do anything to win. Actually using his blaster to destroy the landing platform, he intended to kill the heroes by sending them to their death. However, the characters were able to survive, just barely. 8-GAR and his ship were destroyed.
The characters were thanked by the senators for their help, and most of them thought it very strange that the Imperial visitors left just before the trouble began and right after the senator's death, especially in such a time of crisis.
This caused much debate, but also kept Saluni from siding with the empire for now...
Notes:
1. Senator Malaxo was very arrogant, possibly an Empire sympathizer
2. The characters discovered that Saluni has a few ships, including a large capitol ship
3. On the way to Saluni, the characters found the remains of a tie fighter squadron (of ten ships) and parts of strange technology and green colored ships. Only one remained that had been hit, indicating that only one of the opposing ships were destroyed.
Part 3: The Krung
A jedi-like character is found on the edge of the Lost Sector; the characters are forced to face the Krung, and discover that the aliens bring their children with them into battle to teach them the ways of the war. They also discover a lost wing of X-Wings that, once repaired, would be a valuable addition to the Republic Fleet.
Part 4: Romantine
The first would outside of the Lost Sector to be visited by the characters, Romantine was a world of high technology and mining. Of their four moons, one has been mined away, and the three left are in pieces.
The heroes contacted Shari (sha-ree), the leader of the Romantine world, who was always accompanied by her assistant, a large cyborg named 587.
After a long visit, the characters were leaving when the Free Droid Union attacked, apparently formed of droids who wished to rule over Romantine. Just after, the Empire appeared, with enough firepower to invade.
Onveee and Ceris made their way to the attacked Program, where the mental facilities of the world's inhabitants were kept sharp (the inhabitants do not have a mental collective as seen in many sci-fi movies and stories, however). To do this Ceris was forced to use her Force Powers for the first time, and did very well, defeating multiple guards and automated/droid defenses. Onvee was able to decode the Romantine language with R3's help, and then create a locked code that no one would be able to break (he hoped). Rescuing Shari, they made their way back to the ships to escape.
In the meantime, Molok and Corvin (with Jessa as gunner) were busy with a battle of their own, fighting AT-ATs in fly over, and dogfighting with multiple TIE fighters. In the end, they were able to win the fight, and pick up their friends and make a hasty retreat.
However, the Empire had blockaded the world with three Star Destroyers, and the heroes decided to go to Garka, the head planet of the Free Worlds of Garka (of which Romantine was a member), to talk to the leaders of those worlds and attempt to talk them into aiding the Republic.
Part 5: Escape to Garka
The characters headed to Graka, and once there, met with the leaders of the Free Worlds, four leaders of great power. This included Lord FayQuan of Garka, Thar of Jera, Senator Jestus of FeeYou, and Queen Shari of Romantine, who had arrived with them.
The characters ships were attacked by an unknown alien, but they managed to escape unharmed. Molok, in anger, demanded to see FayQuan, even going as far as to pull his blaster on one of the senator's guard.
They convinced Queen Shari to take two of her most powerful ships off The Line, which made Thar (of Jera) very angry, as their world depended greatly on Romantine's help. Lord FayQuan sent other ships to guard The Line, but the damage to the relationship between the leaders had been done. As the characters departed, Ceris detected a strong sense of The Force in senator Jestus.
Part 6: Mystery on FeeYou
The fleet of Romantine and Republic ships arrived at the Garkan Cloud, a great nebula outside of FeeYou, thinking this would be the next target for the Empire. However, while planning their defense (or offense), the Pathfinder detected an imperial ship entering the atmosphere of FeeYou. Sent to investigate, the crew found that there were already imperial forces working with senator Jestus, and found to their surprise that he was an apprentice to what he called his "master", indicating that the used the Dark Side of The Force. In the process, the heroes found and rescued a pilot stranded on Feeyou and captured by the Empire.
A battle erupted between the forces, and the senator evaded the characters using two Turret Droids. Ceris almost caught him on his ship's platform, but a grenade quickly thrown by Molok stopped their battle before their lightsabers could clash. Jumping off the building as his ship was destroyed, the senator lept onto a speeder and quickly blasted off, with Ceris in chase on another speeder.
While the Pathfinder was trying to catch them, Ceris caught up to the senator, but in a surprise move, Jestus leapt to Ceris' speeder, cutting the front in two with his lightsaber. The speeder crashed, but Ceris survived thanks to her Force Powers. The senator escaped.
Part 7: The Ambush
In the next few days, the characters caught a spy aboard the Victory, their command ship, and discovered a probe droid that was investigating the nebula they were hidden in and communicating with the spy-captain.
----------------------------------------
On Feeyou, Arjan, a retired bounty hunter, traveled on a vacation trip when he spotted a crashing ship. Investigating, Arjan was given a infochip by the dying pilot, begging him to take the information to the Republic.
Catching a ride to Garka, Arjan and the captain were about to go into hyperspace when the pilot discovered the probe droid. Firing on it wit ion cannons and capturing it, the rodian captain planned to take the droid to Garka and sell it.
----------------------------------------
The heroes showed up, now wanting the droid. A battle began, but the rodian went to hyperspace. The heroes followed to Garka. There the Pathfinder nearly destroyed the ship and captured the droid. Because of the seriousness of the droid's possible information, the Garkan government looked the other way about the battle in their space. The characters returned to the nebula. On the way, Ceris seemed to hear voices from another Force user, but could not make out anything but questions such as who are you and what is your purpose here?
Once back, the plan began. Using power generators, the ships were to create a powerful field, hoping to lure a star destroyer when it thought the power reading was another large ship. However, the generators mostly failed. Still, the character's got their wish, as a Romantine capitol ship arrived in Feeyou space, under the control of the Empire. Surviving a sweep under the ship and making a bomb attack against one of their ship hangers, the characters were surprised when this heroic action gained them little besides destroying over 10 TIE interceptors. The Romantine ship had multiple hanger bays, and over thirty TIE fighters came in for attack.
Thinking this target not a big enough conquest for the fleet, or possibly because he did not want to destroy the Romantine ship, Corvin decided to send out a fake distress beacon. In a shocking development, two star destroyers showed up, again before the intelligence though possible, making the battle now even with the size and power of the ships.
At nearly the same time, the Republic - Garkan fleet came out of hyperspace, and a huge battle began. The heroes turned to help, as did most of their followers, although three fighters remained with each ship, hoping to destroy them before they reached the battle.
As the battle progressed, one Garkan capitol ship was destroyed, but the Empire had a Star Destroyer fall, almost completely destroyed. The remaining Imperial fleet, seeing no reason to stay, fled the field. The remains of the Star Destroyer were hidden away in the Garkan Cloud.
Now known as heroes and warriors, the admiral gives the task to the characters of uncovering the position of Feeyou and it's senator, and the strength of the Empire at Romantine.
Part 8: The Dark Side Uncovered
Arriving at Feeyou to find out how the senator is going to make his next move, the characters discover that he has already made the move - he has abandoned the planet and escaped. However, his companions (or perhaps students?), three other senators, are still on the planet. Although they are not in power (the new prime senator is named Jerad), they secretly plot to destroy the characters if they returned to Feeyou.
Cho Wavewalker was hired by the senators to spy on the group, but he did not feel comfortable with this and revealed this to the other characters. In response, they decided to set a trap for the senators, by letting them know where they were and waiting in ambush.
Torbet met Annunus, a beautiful woman who he discovered was an Iluni, an alien race originally from the Iluni Collection area of space. She helped Torbet escape from the senators and back to the space port.
Braku Lon threatened an innocent salesman and stole a military fighter, although with no meaning to hurt him, but this gave the senators the reason they needed to call for the group's arrest.
The senators did arrive at the landing platform, but with more firepower than the other character's had bargained for - and decided to get out of there as fast as possible. As the ship began to hover up, senator Twoman leapt up, showing himself to be a hideous monster-like being rather than the handsome senator he guised himself as. Ceris jumped to the top of the ship in order to protect it from Twoman's lightsaber. A fierce battle ensued, ending with Ceris cutting Twoman's head cleanly in two from ear to ear.
With a minor dogfight, the characters fired into space and freedom.
Part 9: Extraction of Jerad
Now the Republic wished to call for a meeting of the leaders of The Free Worlds, to determine what to do about Feeyou, to ask for continued help from The Free Worlds, and for many other reasons. However, they were concerned that senator Jerad, the new leader of Feeyou, would be killed if he tried to leave the planet.
Instead, the heroes decided to abduct the senator themselves. Sneaking in, they were able to find the senator, all the while noticing a massive buildup of firepower in the Feeyou capitol.
Once the senator was approached and agreed to the plan, the small group made their way to the landing area. However, they were unable to make it to the location, and were confronted by Artus Re, one of the three senators that were actually users of the Dark Side. Only Molok, Corvin and Jessa were in the group, however, and now faced a jedi-like opponent. Still, they had to protect the senator, and a battle erupted even as they called for 6P0 to bring the Pathfinder. In the battle that followed, Molok was nearly cut in two, and Corvin would have been next it seemed, but the Pathfinder and an armed escort arrived and opened fire when the escort saw that Jerad was under attack. The characters escaped.
Because the Pathfinder is equipped with a Bacta Tank for one person, Molok was placed in the tank and rushed to Garka (the Republic fleet had moved to this world by this time). There he was given the best medical treatment. He barely survived, but now had a ghastly scar reaching all the way across his chest.
Part 10: Attack on Garka
While on Garka, Torbet gained information during a card game that one of the three evil senators, Airus (not to be confused with Artus Re) was on Garka already. Finding him and spying on his location, the group saw an assassin droid leaving the area. They attacked, and were able to defeat the droid, but only after a long and dangerous battle. During that battle a second assassin droid left the area, heading toward the senate's capitol building. The heroes quickly followed in a super-charged speeder chase, although they reached the area too late - the assassin droid was on the move, blasting it's way into the building and beginning it's assault on the blast doors.
However, the situation quickly turned from bad to worse, as Airus himself came to the battle. Ceris challenged the Dark Force user, as did Arjan and Corvin. The battle was won, with Ceris spearing her opponent, but this gave only Molok time enough to race into the now blasted senatorial room, in an effort to stop the assassin droid and rescue the senators, and possibly his friend Jessa as well.
With the knowledge that most of his senses were useless in the smoke and rubble, Molok calmed himself and listened carefully. Hearing on the slightest of sounds, he turned and fired, critically damaging the assassin droid in a point-blank confrontation. The assassin droid fired as well, but was struck first and missed wildly.
The senate as a whole was saved, but FayQuan, leader of the Free Worlds, was killed with a few other victims. The Free Worlds would now vote for a new leader.
It was discovered that FayQuan had sent two ambassadors to Halabat in the Allied Worlds in an effort to gain their aid against the Iluni Collection and The Empire.
Part 11: The Fleets Combine
Although the characters planned to leave on The Golden Hawk and travel to Halabat, they did not leave from The Line (where they were now positioned with the Republic fleet) when the Iluni Collection suddenly left their positions into Collection space (the characters were not aware that the Empire had entered Collection space and most of the ships were called back to protect Ye if necessary). With this new development and with a later massive buildup of ships at the Line near Garka, the heroes and leaders developed a risky plan to move the entire fleet to Romantine to defeat the Star Destroyers there, and then to move the fleet again to Garka, and meet the Iluni fleet - to hopefully drive it back across the line or to meet them in battle.
Ceris, Corvin, Jessa and Torbet leave to Jera, where Ceris is certain that The Force is leading her - and that what is happening there has great consequences for the future battles.
Part 12: The Battle of Romantine / Darth Foul
The Pathfinder made it's way to Romantine as a scout at the same time that Ceris made her way to Jera. A terrible clash happens over Romantine, and cripples the Victory - the battle would have been a sure loss, but Arjan, Molok and Onveee managed to take the controls for the surface cannons and send one Star destroyer running and destroying the other. Molok, having altered his plan for the invasion attack, felt that he was responsible for the near loss of the Victory and the loss of many lives. The Republic captures a few TIE fighters, which would be used later in the Battle of Saluni to sneak aboard the Star Destroyer in that battle.
On the planet of Jera, the heroes Corvin, Jessa, Torbet and Ceris are met with open arms, but soon find out that they are being lured into the city and are captured by Darth Foul and his Sith Students. Darth Foul agrees to let the others go if Ceris will become his student, and Ceris agrees only if Foul can beat her in combat. Darth Foul agrees, but Ceris soon found out that he was too much of a match for her. Even though she was about to agree to the Sith teachings, she was rescued as the Maruader, piloted by Corvin and gunned by the others, blew the walls out of the area and shredded the area with laser fire. Most of the Sith Students were killed, but Darth Foul escaped.
Part 13: The Battle of Jera
Dark Ships begin to leave Jera, leaving the heroes to call upon the aid of the Krung to keep them from leaving Jeran space. Jessa was instrumental in having the Krung not only agree to this, but to also help at the upcoming Battle of Garka.
Part 14: The Battle of Garka
Arriving with the remaining Republic fleet to aid the Garkans, an epic battle takes place, with the heroes responsible for taking out a Iluni shield-ship to help the Garkans win the day. The Krung arrive as well and turn the tide in Garkas favor. Terrible losses occur on both sides. Sooleeth Koth turns against Foul and uses an escape pod to rocket away after Foul kills his brother. He is found by the Pathfinder but is mistrusted at first.
Part 15: Secret Attack above Saluni
Knowing that a star destroyer is almost defenseless above Saluni, the Republic sends a ship to attack with fighters, but the real plan is to sneak aboard and destroy the capitol ship from the inside. The Star Destroyer is boarded in secret by Ceris, Corvin, Arjan, Molok, Cho and Onvee in an attempt to set it's self-destruct mechanisim. They succeeded, and also took the admiral on the ship with them, knowing that he was a Republic sympathiser.
On the surface, Jessa, Torbet, and Sooleeth find the senators of Saluni and try to have a meeting with them so that they can calm them down when the attack begins. However, they are attacked themselves by stormtroopers, sith soilders and Darth Foul, who had used the Force to disguise himself as senator Malaxo.
Sooleeth battled Foul long enough to allow the other to escape, in the process ripping Foul's hand almost in two. However, he was flung against a wall almost to his death as well. Placing a blast door between themeselves and their enemies, the group managed to take the senator away to safety.
Part 16: They are Among Us
On missions to scout the Lost Sector for Imperial bases, the group investigate lost beacons around the Heem Nebula near Daluni (the nebula appearing close to that world when the Lost Sector was transported). In the nebula they discovered the Noctournal, an escort-class Star Destroyer not part of Murderous' fleet. Adrift, they discovered that no one had survived when a parasite-like creature, invisible to touch and sight, had killed most of the crew. Those that tried to escape did not survive the nebula itself (the escape pods not having shields to protect them from the nebula's intense electrical forces). The ship was working on droid power only, and they were malfunctioning, only firing on ships without life forms (which is why they were not fired upon but the probe droids and beacons in the area were quickly destroyed). Once they had discovered the creatures and the fact that they could only survive in the nebula, they piloted the ship from the nebula and into a nearby sun, only barely escaping themselves when they learned that the medical droid was not going to allow them to leave because they might have been infected.
On the way back to the ship, the crews made sure that their vessels were not infected with the nearly-invisible parasites.
Part 17: Captured!
The characters, on investigating a distress signal, are captured by three pirates (Captain Ragar, his daughter Tanya, and a snake-like creature first-mate, Salot) running an automated capitol ship. With all the characters working together, they were able to escape their captors. In the process, they killed Salot and captured "Captain Ragar", who turned out to be a rouge called Cego. The real Captain Ragar was Tanya, who used the focus taken off of her to get away, but not without losing her hand to blaster fire.
Part 18: Q'Larn
Now the heroes decided to move to Q'Larn, in chase of Captain Ragar, in hopes of contacting the crimminal underground for information and to contact the pirate guild and hopefully put a stop toaprice being placed on their head (Arjan was aware the the pirate's guild only allowed bountys if Mas-Mas approved them).
On Q'Larn they encountered Mas-Mas, a blue-furred cat-like alien that was in charge of the pirate guild, and Jinn-Tu Mantisa (a T'wilik), his right-hand-man. After finding the guild and meeting with Mas-Mas onboard his ship, the group were able to reach a bargin - return Captain Ragar's ship in return for no bounty being allowed.
Torbet was able to enter a high-statkes gambling game where he defeated Daale Maxx, who was thought to be one of the best card players in the galaxy.
Lonus Redd was the leader of the Bounty Hunters guild, and was contacted by Arjan, who bought hard-to-find supplies and asked a few questions.
Jaira (jay-eye-ra) Boom, a feared bounty hunter, had been asking around about Molok, although there had been no bounty placed.
Part 19: Q'Larn
The bargin with Captain Ragar complete, the group received a call from the Republic - a ship carrying secret cargo was attacked by an Imperial ship as it made it's way around Bantooine and to Yoonda. Both ships were heavily damaged. The imperial ship was crippled but remained in space, and the Republic ship (a stolen imperial shuttle) seemed to limp to the surface. The mission; retreive the spy that stole the cargo and get the supplies back, if possible.
The Maurader, Pathfinder and Saber took to the surface, and were soon attacked by the Empire, using five speeders. While most were quickly destroyed and/or captured, the remaining speeders were able to strike using explosives against the Saber, which destroyed the ship and badly wounded Soleeth, who had to be placed in Bacta Freeze. To make matters worse, the freezing conditions on the world began to freeze the weapons, engines and equipment of the ships, having not been heavily adapted to the cold (the pathfinder, being built as a scout ship, held up the best, with only it's weapon systems being afftected by the cold).
The prisinors were interrogated but seemed to know little except that the Empire had captured the pilot and freight, but their own shuttle could not make it back to space, and they had gone to The Pit, a nearby undeground city.
The heroes followed the imperials to the Pit, discovering that it was an underground city (built to protect it from the cold). Once in the pit, they tracked down Oulan, leader of a gang of men who, it was rumored, had the imperials captured! Oulan was a powerful crimminal lord in this tiny city, and hard to get to. Arjan ran into a couple of old "friends" he had turned into the law in the past, and had to kill one of them when he was attacked. After asking around, the group did not find out much, only that Oulan was trying to watch them, and it was true that he had the cargo and rebel/imperial soilders captured. He wanted 500,000 credits for it all. Once finding out this was true, Molok crawled on top of a roof and shot two of the gang members in the head, killing them instantly, thinking that it was very probable that they might fight these individuals in the future and two less was a good thing.
Oulan was outraged, and demanded double the fee. However, Koolulos, the other friend that Arjan had met in the club, told Arjan that he had been a member of the gang once and would lead the group there and show them the back way in, and stop traffic in the area through his contacts for 30,000 credits. The group agreed, and began to travel toward the secret base.
Part 20: Cold Secrets
(noted but not written out completely at this time)
Characters on the mission to rescue the pilot and cargo (see last adventure):
Corvin, Arjan, Ceris, Molok and Jayes (an associate of Arjan whom he met again while in the pit).
Attacking the Base
Jayes, knowing an entrance into the base, agreed to take the heroes to the location. They had to enter the back side of the hidden base, which had dangerous Ice Panthers as local residents. The group had to kill a couple of these creatures in self-defense, but refused to kill any others as there were young cubs in the cave as well. Once they had slipped through this area, they had little difficulty going through the compund, not realizing that Oulan had already left with his men - leaving only a handful of men behind, including an assassin, Jackulo, and a soilder with a repeating laser cannon.
Although the laser cannon was destroyed pretty esily by Ceris, the assassin proved more difficult, using a force field to protect himself after the initial attack. In addition, the characters discovered that the cargo, and the prisinor pilot and imperial officers, were captured and rigged with explosives. Speaking through speakers and cameras, Oulan had the pull to strike his deal, insisting that the assassin be set free and releasing the cargo (but not the pilot) to the group in exchange for hundreds of thousands of credits. Reluctantly, the characters agreed. Jayes, who turned out to be a spy for Oulan, begged to trade his ship, the Meteor, in exchange for his freedom, to which the characters agreed.
Part 21: Business as Usual and The Hidden Force
The characters go back to routine missions for a time, but then are called back to Garka. Once there, Jessa is given an assassin droid by Thar, the Jaran diplomat, to protect her from the Sith. Soleeth and Molok find out that Coolulos, as they had suspected, was up to something unusual, and trying to find passgae to the Debos system in imperial space.
The group meets with the senate and debates the fate of Iluni fugatives escaping from the military and coming to The Free Worlds. The Jeran diplomat is very hostile to the idea of allowing them to join the Garkan military in any way. The Free Worlds want to add the Republic army to their own, but will fight against the Empire in return.
Although there are many assassian droids present at the function to protect the diplomats, the leader of the free worlds, Jerad, is attacked after he leaves the function early. Ceris detected the attack from the Sith, following the Force to Jerad, who was unconcious, his droid destroyed and his guard defeated or killed. It was very odd that the senator was not killed. The characters began to realize that the Jerad had been knocked out while he was being saved from the Sith by another Force user, senator Go Ander from FeeYou. Ander would be the first Jedi the characters had ever come into contact with. The legends of the surrounding sectors claim that the Jedi were killed by the sith many hundreds of years ago.
The heroes found Ander and General Chandus (also from FeeYou) in a lightsaber duel, but were uncertain of which warrior was a Sith, because neither had a red lightsaber (the General had lost his in battle but had taken one of Ander's, who normally fought with two blades) or gave off a sense of The Dark Side, thanks to the Sith's power to hide the Force from others. Ander was killed in the battle. General Chandus, the Sith, attempted to fool the heroes into beleiving that he was a Jedi trying to find and destroy the Sith on FeeYou, but the group used logic to unravel this plan and attacked the General when he tried to use his lightsaber (deactivated by Onvee) to destroy them. He managed to crush the assassian droid in a second, the barrage of fire from the characters wastoo much, and although he dodged many blasts, it only took a few to bring him down quickly.
Another Sith body was found in the sewer where the battle between the force users took place. Another third Sith, who went another direction, escaped.
Ander was able to whisper to Ceris before he died... "find the other... find Shajo Farr." Was this the escaped Sith, or an actual Jedi, hidden somewhere away?
Part 22: Sajo Farr
The characters were now trying to find out when Coolulos was going to leave the planet. The task of finding out was left to Torbet, who was more adept to the street-level information gathering due to his extensive experience in the underworld. Armed with little more than his charisma and a deck of cards, he came back with the information. Coolulos already had some sort of "artifact" and was leaving with it aboard the Survivor, a fairly famous ship piloted by the equally illustrious Zylas Vall. There were others hired for this crew as well, but Torbet was unable to get names for these crew members.
Corvin invited Reena Ketro (Go Ander's personal assistant) to a night on Garka, which she accepted. The date was a way to keep her busy so the investigation (which was not officialy approved) into the identity of Sajo Farr would not be hampered by her presence. While Corvin tried to pull out his old moves on her, his mind kept going back to Jessa. While Reena tried to kiss him, Jessa came to tell him the investigation was over. The door opened just in time for her to see Corvin and Reena leaning toward each other.
Diring that time, Arjan, Molok, Onvee and Ceris discovered a passage in the recordings of senator Ander that referred to Yenos, a world behind the Garkan Cloud and off current maps, as a world "Farr away", which seemed to be a purposely mispelled word - a hint that Sajo Farr might be on the same planet. Taking the Pathfinder, they traveled the dangerous route to the abandoned Yenos, and there discovered Zar Windspeaker, an ancient jedi master, and Sajo Farr his student. The heroes were suprised to find that Sajo was a 10-year old girl. They took both of them back to Garka, intending to introduce Zar to the council. However, he died on the trip back, apparently keeping himself alive for so long only by the power of the Force.
Jaira Boom came around asking questions about Molok again, and met him for a short talk, with cryptic answers to her motivations. She shifted hr way back into the crowd.
Once the characters were back together, they discoved that the Survivor had already left. They also learned that the path through to Debos was plauged with volitile storms and asteroid fields, and they would need an experienced pilot that had been in the area to get them through fast enough to keep up with the Survivor. They searched and found only one, Dack, who turned out to be from the Lost Sector, and was an old romance of Jessa's. With the awkward situation in place, the characters took the Meteor and chased the Survivor, making mostly short jumps through hyperspace.
They discovered Debos to be a black world made mostly of volcanic glass, although there still were areas of vegation and some animal life. Ceris felt an immense power of the Dark Side on the world as well. The atmosphere was breathable but made of a dense constant fog, making vision limited only to a few feet. Traveling by sensors alone, the Meteor found the Survivor and landed a short distance away...
Part 23: Death on Debos
The travel to Debos was dangerous, but with the guidance of Dack, we made it through the dangers of hyperspace safely. I must admit, upon seeing that desolate world, I was disheartened. The globe of Debos was strangely black, with a fog cloud that drifted over it's mass as not to allow vision of only a few feet. We had to fly in by controls alone. Although the scanners detected only a small amount of life, captain Jager was able to spot the Survivor on the Meteor's sensors. We landed a distance of about 5 kilometers nearby after Onvee decided that the ship's scanners were not operational (possibly shut down with other ship systems so that the ship could hide better). I noticed a great deal of tension between Dack and Jessa. Oddly enough, there seemed to be a great deal of negative emotion from captain Jager as well.
We sent a team to investigate, even though Soleeth, Ceris and myself felt a strong sense of the Dark Side. I must admit, it was the strongest I have felt since my master, Zar, defeated Lord Caldandor on Unimor so many years ago. Even then, it did not have the feeling of seeping into the area itself as this did.
Despite this, we decided to venture fourth, needing to discover the source of this darkness and others wishing to destroy the artifact if it had anything to do with it. We left the ship with Molok, Soleeth, Ceris, Arjan, Corvin, Torbet and myself. We left Jessa, Onvee and Dack aboard the Meteor, in case they needed to move the ship.
It was not long before we encountered a few dangerous creatures, some of them more scared of us than we of them. We crossed a large casam as well. I noticed Soleeth using his powers to bring the astromech unit across with ease. His powers are well trained by his old master - but I wonder if we can trust him fully? After all, at one time, he was a Sith. Still, as Zar said, "watch for the changes in others, the Force will help you see their path". I beleive that Soleeth is on a difficult path to amend for his past, and may not have commited any great evils while with the Sith, if he was only a student. Time will be my advisior.
We encountered a group of Sith Troopers as well, but Ceris took care of most of them and her teammates cleaned up what was left. I hated that we had to kill these men, but I suppose we had no choice if we were to serve the greater good. I did not help in the battle - I could sense that we would be victorious without me involved. Soleeth seemed suprised by this. I had forgotten the time when I was a youngling and thought that visions of the future were supposed to be so cloudy. While my vision is not perfect, it would be difficult for me to return to such a stage. I was bothered by Ceris in combat - her skills are developing quickly, but she seems to take great pleasure in combat - a weakness that will lead her down the Dark Path. I have offered to train her, but she has refused the teachings of the Jedi. Perhaps, if I am to become a teacher myself, I should train Soleeth? He seems to have a much more serious side, and the Jedi must have the most serious of minds. Molok's astromech unit was damaged in the battle, and we had to leave it behind to be picked up later. I am not sure exactly what happened, but Molok seemed rather irritated with Arjan for some time on the remainder of our journey.
We found the Survivor nesteled in a large crater, the victim of an attack by the Sith Troopers. Coolulos and the captain were both dead, and the artifact missing. I thought the group had heard there were three passengers aboard the Survivor - I may have heard them wrong. Inside the ship we found many cargo containers that had been emptied. Torbet uncovered a clue - the cases were holding ion cannons, powerful enough to stop even small land-based ships.
In any case, we began to leave when we were attacked by a large lizard-like creature. It must have weighed tons, and I could feel that the creature was hungry and very threatened by our presence. It lunged at our group, and Ceris leaped into action to find, in great suprise, that her saber could not pierce the creature's tough skin. It seemed to have the ability to absorb energy (blaster fire, as well). With this new development, the battle began to fall apart for us. Molok was struck by the creature with enough force to almost kill him, and it came quickly for Torbet and others. Finally, Arjan struck the creature with a vibroblade, which easily cut through it's hide. I have learned from Arjan since then that these blades move at thousands of vibrations per second, but are not energized (although energy powers the vibration, of course). The creature defeated, we did what we could for Molok, and ventured on.
Soon we came upon the center of my feelings of darkness, a Sith temple built in the middle of an ancient jungle. The temple itself was hundreds of years old - Molok beleived perhaps 800- 900 years old. Inside, the ion cannons and Sith Troopers awaited. However, I let the others handle this situation and took Ceris and Soleeth with me - I knew that the true Sith were inside, and they were powerful.
Later, Molok told me that they had a fairly easy time sneaking up on the Sith Troopers and taking them out. Suprise went a long way in their favor. I was very pleased with this. Just as I had sensed, Torbet needed his blaster in the battle - and having it ready, possibly saved the life of Arjan, who was suprised by a Trooper that came from the shadows and would have shot him in the back. They were able to destroy the ion weapons and return safely to the Meteor. However, they were far from destroying all the Sith Troopers here, which we were not prepared to do, having not suspected so many of them. Despite this, our mission reached it's goal in this area, the weapons being the target, not the troopers.
We noticed imperial shuttles in the area, indicating that, as the group had feared, the Sith of my sectors had aligned with Darth Murderous, or at least the Empire.
Soleeth, Ceris and myself entered the chamber that held the Sith we had looked for. There was Nimm Chee, a Sith, but I sensed he was not powerful without the medallion he wore - the artifact. Soleeth sensed this as well, and dove into action, killing at least three of Chee's students in a second or two. Again I noticed her skill but her enjoyment of battle - such entertaiment from violence... Zar would have had me run the Trail for many days. I also began battle, and bgan to make my way toward Chee. However, dath Murderous appeared beside Chee as if to help him in battle. I sensed that this Dark Force user, revealed to my by my new allies, was as powerful as I, possibly even more so. His evil, and insanity, was deep. I knew what would happen next, but I was powerless to have stopped it, even if there was another action I would have willed to happen. Murderous killed Chee by cutting him in two from the back. Taking the amulet, he laughed and revealed that he was the most powerful Sith that had ever lived.
Striking us with the Sith power of Force Lightning, the energy caught us and weakened us greatly. Only I had the energy left to rise and do battle. Murderous was very skilled, but I took advantage of his thinking that I was weak, which I sensed even through his defenses. By allowing myself to have appeared to reveal an opening for Murderous to attack, I prepared a mind shield to protect me from the immese pain and the normal submission the Force attacker can use when a limb is taken. He took the bait, and not expecting me to be able to respond, was helpless when I took my saber through his heart. It was not an action I took pleasure in, but this strong source of the Dark Side was destroyed.
The master of their cult killed, the Sith Students left quickly - I wonder if they stayed on Debos or fled. We lefton a landsppeder and made our way back to the Meteor. We left soon after that, being picked up halfway to the landing spot. The Meteor had been under attack and had to leave quickly. Dack had been badly injured and we needed to get to help quickly, as our ship only had first aid capabilities. With that, we headed toward Barancade, in the Allied Worlds, the closest planet with proper medical facilities. They say I might be able to have a replacement cybernetic arm there as well, but my concern is with Dack. I notice now that jessa is by his side most of the time, a strange change from when I left the ship.
The Allied Worlds tend to fire first and ask questions later. The Force be With Us.
- Sajo Farr
I say, R3, I had very little to do with the recent events other than to help the senator pass the time until all the fuss statrted about the gravity fields. I was able to go over the new Garkan / Republic alliance bills that are up for approval in the council, and Romantine diplomatic proceedure.
I am concerned withthe Senator's well being. What? No, not in the physical sense, I mean, not any more than the usual, which is nerve-racking! I mean, this new Dack fellow. He seems to be rather on the shady side, if you take my meaning. I'm not so sure the senator should be getting so close. I mean, what would the council think if they knew his past?
Eh? Oh, yes, you are correct. She didn't like him until recently. As far as I have gathered, they had some type of romantic interest in the past, and he was trying to make admends for some type of mistake.
Well, I don't know what kind of mistake, you tin-can co-pilot! Human emotional needs are far beyond my programming, thank goodness. All I know is that while they were waiting for the return of captain Jager and the rest he said something about his mistake and said he talked to the Jedi about it. The senator seemed quite taken with the idea. Surely she is just humoring him, and not becoming interested again. I noticed he gve her a coin of some type, possibly a human "good luck" charm. Human logic escapes me quite often.
Of course it was at the same time that Onvee found the gravity fields that kept us locked on the surface. I am very pleased to have Master Onvee aboard, he is very good with such things. He finally developed a way to get us out of the field. What? Oh, yes, I am sure you are glad to have him around so he could repair you as well, although I am quite sure he did not appreciate you taking so much of his time.
Oh, yes, while you were indisposed, Dack was wounded while providing cover fire for the senator to get far enough away from the ship to get a communication out, as we were being jammed. I think he almost died, but that Arjan fellow was able to save him, for the moment. They made quite a mess. I was suprised when captain Jager volenteered to clean it - and then had me do it. He seemd quite irritable as well - I mean, more than usual. Irresponsible man. I was not programmed for such duties! Why, if my programmer only knew that I was - quiet, here they come.

Part 24: Death on Debos
Journal Entry:
Darth Murderous is presumed dead, not having returned from Debos. His mission to capture the artifact he held with such awe from Nim Chee, one of the hidden Sith of these sectors, must have failed. So much the better. I am now in command of the fleet, without many of the troops leaning toward his insane ramblings.
The Interigator and the Dominator both chased a ship escaping the Sith stronghold there after it escaped the system, heading toward the Allied Worlds. They did not capture the ship, and had to retreat or face the forces of the Allied Line. I had no need of creating a new enemy at that time. Was this the ship that held the attackers that caused the chaos on the planet's surface? I beleive so. It was an Allied World ship, although one not registered with their military.
Jael Farr, Murderous' new apprentice and traitor to the Sith, seems to think that the ship held his daughter, and I allowed him to try to capture the ship on his way to conquer Caldus. A short time later the ship appeared again as my fleet prepared it's attack, and Captain Vesser of the Interrigator had ships follow the vessel to the system, hoping to stop it from warning of our attack. I was informed of this much later than I would have liked. Jeal Farr seems to be as erratic as his mentor. I do not trust the Sith, but a warrior such as Farr may be of use to me, as I am assured to face the remainder of the Jedi at some point. I have heard the rumors from The Free Worlds that theJedi have appeared again in the sectors. Prehaps the Sith Murderous told me about will handle them, but a backup plan is always a good thing. Murderous taught Jeal his secrets, but I have suspicions that Jeal, who now calls himself Darth Vengence, was the real master and was only waiting for his chance to take Murderous' place. It would seem that he has. I keep him on a tight leash - he will not take my place as well.
I ordered the attack to take place immediatly, without our reinforcements having arrived. To my suprise, a large group of Allied World built ships attacked the fleet I had sent, causing many more casualties than I had expected, although we were victorious. The remainder of that small fleet jumped into hyperspace, toward the unclaimed territories, just short of the Allied Worlds, I imagine. The diplomats from that sector have assured me that the ships were not sent from the Allied World goverment, but I a no fool. Let them play their game for now, thinking they are so sly. They only allow me more time by not sending their full force to oppose the Empire. Caldus has fallen, and in a short time, so will the other worlds. This is not the same as the area from whence we came, there are not countless systems to conquer and hold onto. There are 25 worlds that will be the keys to holding onto the rest of the minor systems. We are in control of 5 of them, one-fifth of our goal, and there is only one goverment opposing us with a fraction of our fleet in size. Let the Republic hide in the shadow of The Free Worlds, they will fall soon enough, along with their allies.

on and is obviously crushed by the experience.
Govin takes a strong interest in the leader of the patrol that helped them fight on Jarantine. She seems both
witty and willing to fight, and seems mesmerized by the activities of the war heroes.
Part 30: Flight to Jaybor
Ceris locates a strange alien race that seems strong with the Force. They are attacked by the Dark Fleet
and the men killed, the women and children taken. The survivor goes with Ceris to look for a way to
rescue his people. Ceris finds the body of what she suspects to be a Jensaarai, but also hears
a strange voice at the same ancient-temple location. She returns to Garka with her new companion.
Part 31: Round in Circles we Go
The group all meet back on Garka (except Arjan). They decide to leave to investigate the attack on the people
of Jaybor, although the Republic has no help to give and the Garkan people refuse to enter the area unless
there is an emergency that concerns them, as according to galactic treaty. They pick Arjan up on the way.
The group goes to Jaybor, and discovers little at first. However, they do spot a ship that seems to be following
them on the way, described to them as a Ghost Fighter, a ship that can kill a person by simply flying by it.
They find that same ship, a silver half-shell in design, resting in the forest-jungle of Jaybor...
Part 32: The Kazdan-Barr
The heroes then encounter battle droids in the jungle, and are helped by a mysterious stranger named Sharda, who wields a double-vibro-blade and strange armor. She claims that her ship was damaged and she needs help to return to her home (all true). Once there, she introduces the group to her mother, the Shan-Re, who asks them to wait but then sends battle droids to attack. The heroes defeated the droids (not without wounds), but also were confronted by the Shan-Re, who was able to easily read the minds of her guests and even pass the guard of the Jenssarai mind shield, confronting them with surprising and well-trained mental powers. Corvin attacked her, but the lasers bounced off the force field she had in front of her, and she escaped. The heroes fought their way back to the ship, passing the Dark Fleet along the way, discovering that the Kazdan-Barr (who they now knew the group to be a part of) were the force behind that callous power. The Kazdan -Barr were once part of the Allied Worlds, and acted as the Royal Guard. Although they briefly encountered the Kazdan-Barr in a ship-to-ship fight above the planet's surface, the heroes slipped into hyperdrive, despite the radiation interfering with their hyperspace jump, and headed back to Garka...
Part 33: The Search for Jedi
Now back at Garka, the Senator finds that most of the leaders of the Lost Sectors will not take action and enter the Unclaimed Territories, as thier law dictates. Instead of continuing the fight against the Kazdan-Barr slave trade, the group instead decides that if the goverments will not take action, the Jedi might, if any of them still exist. They decide to break into three search parties. The Huntsman would carry Arjan and Soleeth to the planet called Im, The Meteor would hold Ceris, Onvee, Tana to Jera, while the Maurader would carry Corvin, Jessa, "Doc", Sajo and 6P0 to FeeYou.
Part 34: The Search for Jedi: Obstacles
The Maurader arrives at FeeYou, and Sajo finds the Jedi Master called Conros in the dangerous swamps of GeeLor. However, the master refuses to leave the swamp. At first considering to instead teach them, he finds fault with thier dedication to the force, and decides instead to part ways. Jestus, possibly following Sajo, finds the group and attacks. However, he encounters Conros. In the battle, Jestus is wounded and possibly killed. However, a backup force of Swampmarines (submersible swamp vehicles) causes the group to have to make a hasty retreat. In the process, the Maurader is hit hard (to the dismay of Corvin), but survives. Jessa uses her influence at FeeYou1 (also called MayNuu), the capitol city of FeeYou, to have the ship repaired and allow a moment of protection while the group decides what to do next.
In another part of the galaxy, the Huntsman strikes an ion storm that knocks it out of hyperspace and damages it's hyperspace navigation unit. Before Arjan and Soleeth realize it, they have flown into Imperial space and the ship is captured by the Cerebus, commanded by Captain Sadra. Allowing himself to be "bought" by the Empire, Arjan is taken the the bridge while Soleeth is drugged heavily and taken as a prisinor. There he encounters Molok, who has hired himself out as a scout to the Empire as well, in the hopes of finding the commander that killed his close friends.
The Cerebus is on a secret mission to find a wormhole that could be a connection point back to the home sectors. The mission goes well for the Empire at first, but the commander of the Cerebus has the captain killed and frames Arjan for the murder. Arjan escapes, and thinking he will attempt to sabotage the Star Destroyer (something that has worked in a military planned attack in the past), Molok escapes by blasting his way through the hull of the Destroyer. Unfortunately, Arjan is stunned and taken prisoner again. However, in the last moments, Soleeth contacts Molok and tells him that he can escape the Imperials, but to leave the Star Destroyer, Molok must attempt to reenter the ship, even though there is nothing to gain but the lives of his old friends. Molok decides to do the right thing, placing himself off the path of destruction he had set himself on. Although they had won a minor battle, the victory was bittersweet. Flying away with Arjan and Soleeth, the heroes watch as the Star Destroyer destroyed the wormhole, locking reinforcements for the Republic away. All they could do was get away from the destroyer and begin the flight back to Garkan space again.
Outside of the influence of the heroes, the frigate Honor was destroyed (see intelligence reports).
Part 35: Jedi Found
The characters venture back into the swamp, and there they find Conros has battled with his arch-enemy, Jestus. Conros has defeated the Sith, but Jestus still managed to escape back into the swamp. The heroes provide passage for Conros back to MayNuu, and then back to Garka, or so they think...
Part 36: The Kazdan-Barr Trap
Now joined back with Molok, the crew begins to travel back to Garka after picking up Onvee, who was seperated from Ceris after being knocked unconcious, but the Marauder was damaged during hyperspace travel (which, as it turns out, was a coincidence, and had nothing to do with the upcoming trap of the Kazdan-Barr). Having to travel to the nearby planet of Arkala, the heroes are confronted by a bounty hunter who claims that Jestus is on Q'Larn, and that for giving the heroes the information he wants 10% of the bounty on Jestus' head (which is now 2,000,000 standard Garkan credits). While leaving the surface, however, the bounty hunter's ship explodes, causing major damage to the Marauder, which crashes, nearly destroying the ship.
Taking the Pathfinder, the crew decides that they will go in search for Jestus, but receive a distress call from Ceris' R-unit, deep within the Allied Worlds. The crew decides that the Jestus information was a ruse, and the Marauder was destroyed by the bounty hunter being mind controlled by the Kazdan-Barr. Instead of going to Q'Larn, they decide to travel to the Allied Worlds and confront the Kazdan-Barr as a team, while sending their own rescue mission to retreive Ceris and the Meteor.
The plan works for the rescue, and some of the Kazdan-Barr were killed during the battle on the small world of Bunki (how many Kazdan-Barr there are remains a mystery - Conros had estimated 13 the last he had encountered them, which was more than 30 years prior, and some of the attackers looked very young).
In the battle, Molok's new romantic interest, Jaira Boom, was killed, much to the sorrow of the scout that had lost a great love once before. The Kazdan-Barr, seeing that their strike force was insufficent to take on the heroes, began to bomb the area from space, and the heroes had to make a hasty retreat.
Part 37: Nowhere to Run
During the retreat, the Meteor and the Pathfinder were trapped by the strange technology of the Kazdan-Barr Ghost Ships, which created fields that tricked the computer sensors of the ships, making them think it was unsafe to jump. Onvee, in a stroke of inspiration, placed old data into the system to make the computers sense what he wanted them to. The computers, thus allowing the jump to take place, were able to escape.
To the astonishment of the entire crew, Jaira Boom awakened, her deadly wounds healed. Apparently, within a short time of the wounds, the Kazdan-Barr had the ability to totally heal someone. Doc even stated that it was comparable to bringing back the dead. The question remained - why would these foes heal someone they had defeated? Was it a show of power? The answer soon came as Jaira tried to assassinate Conros, but failed thanks to his Jedi skills. Once this was over Jaira seemed to be released from the spell that held her, and Conros was almost certain that she was not being controlled ay longer.
The group, away from Corvin, who the Kazdan-Barr could see and hear through, made plans to travel to Daluni, which they would refer to as Saluni, in code, to trick the anicent warriors in hopes that they would not find them. Little did they know that Sajo Farr, the Jedi master, was also under the control of the Kazdan-Barr as well...
Part 38: Nowhere to Hide
The group came up with several plans to protect themselves and fightagainst these new foes. One was to train Corvin and Jessa, both of which were sensetive to the Force, to shield their minds, once they reached Daluni. One other accepted plan was to visit the Hutts, who had the drug called Cerecium, and buy it to use againat the Kazdan-Barr. The drug had the effect of making anyone open to even the slighest suggestion, and it was beleived that it could be used to release the lock on Corvin and possibly Jaira (the heroes later thought it could be used to help Sajo as well - see below).
Ajan and Ceris seperated to visit the Hutts, while Molok and Jaira decided to scout and try to uncover the location of the Kazdan-Barr base. The rest of the group went to Daluni, where Corvin, Jessa and Soleeth trained whith their masters.
The visit to the Hutt went well as such matters go, as the Hutt did not try to kill anyone. However, he was not interested in giving up his secret drug, instead telling Arjan that if the Republic wantd the drug they could come and ask for it themselves.
Ajan also took this time to make a quick detour, and buy the Huntsman II, an Jeran (predator-class) dogfighter.
Corvin and Jessa both had grueling mental challenges placed on them by Conros, although progess was almost non-existant.
In a shocking turn, the Conros suddenly declared that the Kazdan-Barr had followed them and were close. In fact they were much closer than the group thought, having taken control of Sajo Farr, the Jedi master (remember, Conros was the only Jedi in the group, besides the Holocron, that had the ability to protect himself from the effects). Sajo, under their control, had locked out controls on the ships, creating new passcodes, making it impossible, it seemed, to escape in time. Using her powers, Sajo was forced to move Soleeth to the side while she attacked Conros in an effort, once again, to assassinate the ancient Jedi. At a loss to do anything but defend himself, Conros would have been struck down sooner or later. However, a tangler grenade from Arjan made it through her defenses (as she was occupied by attacks from both Corvin with a weapon set on stun, and Doc, who attacked her physically, barely escaping with his life. Once she was captured, the Kazdan-Barr released her. Doc used a dose of Hypno to bring Sajo's unconcious mind to the forefront, and she remembered the code the Kazdan-Barr had placed into the ship's computer.
The ships streaking into space in an effort to escape, the group was dismayed to encounter fighters who had already destroyed the Republic fighters who came to answer the distress call the group had sent out. In the battle that followed the Ghost Fighters seemed to be on equal ground with the larger ships and fighter, but the Kazdan-Barr tried to make the pilots of the ships kill one another or themselves. Almost successful, but sensing a chance of failure and having one of their fighters damaged, the Kazdan-Barr made a retreat, apparently to the Heem Nebula, a dangerous and risky place to be. After some quick debate the team decided to give chase after them.
Part 39: It's a Trap!
Instead of giving chase, the heroes soon discovered that a Kazdan-Barr ship was nearby, and damaged. They were able to capture the woman with little effort, but then were suddenly attacked by her friends who showed up again. After a short battle, the characters decided to allow the Kazdan-Barr the chance to follow them, and flew all the way to the Garkan Nebula, arranging droid ships to be there with them. The Kazdan-Barr took the bait, and one was destroyed. The other fled, but was also destroyed. The captured Kazdan-Barr was taken into Bacta Freeze, which was decided the only way to keep her from being a threat. She was left frozen in space, to be picked up at a later time, after the Republic had it's hands on the Cerecium it wanted.
In the meantime, Senator Argo was able to retreive the Cerecium, under the condition that the Republic recognize the new Hutt Dominion and it's slave trade as legal.
Part 40: The Battle of Armadon, Part 1
Thinking they were ever closer to winning the battle against the Kazdan-Barr, the group were suddenly called back to the Republic world of Caldus to discuss a new situation with it's leaders - the Shadow Nebula had created an explosion of unimaginable magnitude, washing the world of Caldus with a blanket of ionic radiation that would make it impossible to use conventional sensors, communications, weapons and the like after 48 hours, and the duration of the effect unknown, and even possibly permanent.
The Republic had intelligence that reported that soon after the explosion, the Empire began a massive build-up of weaponry and ships, apparently massing an attack on the cities of that world. The Republic responded by sending out it's own signal for help, which was granted by Jerad of Garka. Desperate people, and those in need of quick credits, joined the fight, claiming salvage rights. Captain Ragar even joined the fight.
Jaira Boom and Doc went to retreive the body, but encountered the Kazdan-Barr instead. They were used to free their prisinor, and they controlled to insist that the Cerecium be given to them in an act of good faith. The heroes refused and stunned their comrades, who awoke with no memory of the event. However, the group now wonders if they can be trusted - are they being controlled by the Kazdan-Barr, or are they being used as a human camera as seen before?
The Empire landed an Imperial Tyrant-Class Dropship, a city-sized dome brimming with weapons and drop ships of it's own on the outside and in. Once over the city, the platform released it's droid soldiers and vehicles, and the Republic had no choice but to retreat as fast as possible. Finding a weakness in the shield generators, they were able to knock a temporary hole in the field and escape. Ceris infiltrated the base and set up a link to the computers, and Onvee was able to use his computer skills to take over the system. To keep him from using the system to destroy the Empire, the power was cut to the entire base, leaving it a well-armored and very large target.
Part 41: The Battle of Armadon, Part II
Other cities had also been attacked by the Tyrant-Class ships, but Armadon had it's weapons offline and it's shields down. The Admiral, with the help of the Senator's Captains, decided that the unit should attack the base with an infiltration team capable of taking control over the secondary computer bridge that would be activated to acheive control over the ship again. They would have a window of about 24 hours to complete the mission. The characters made arragements, geared up, and took the Meteor as lead ship in a group of 5 wings.
The effort to infiltrate was a success, but at a horrible price, as the characters soon disovered that the base was fully operational. The Kazdan-Barr had made good on their promise, and had read the minds of the heroes as they created their passcodes and cracked the system of the Dropship. Giving the Empire that knowledge, they were able to use the normal bridge and simply wait until the Republic was close enoguh to strike. Half of the attacking ships were lost, as well as many others after the landing. During this crisis, Corvin lept to help, and arrived at the same time that the heroes were able to punch yet another entrance into the city.
After fighting which wounded many of the characters and challenged them to an extent they had not known as yet, the unit finally came face to face with battle droids, stormtroopers and even the Kazdan-Barr as they prepared to leave. The battle was tough, but in the end the Imperial forces fell. One Kazdan-Barr almost activated a thermal detonator with a power the group had never seen before, dubbed Psychic Lightning, although the attack appeared more of a wave. Facing the computers, the heroes agreed that the Kazdan-Barr situation must be taken care of once and for all. Launching the dropship away from the city, the heroes caused it to crash into a large unpopulated area a many miles away.
After this battle, the group decides to retun to the city and rescue Conros, who had disappeared after fighting off the Empire so that Captain Ragar's rescue team could escape. The mission, led by Corvin, was a success, after some fancy flying by that captain, heavy fighting by Molok and Arjan, and the Force skills of Ceris. Although badly wounded, Conros is brought back to Republic headquarters where his body begins to heal itself.
Part 42: The Truce of the Kazdan Barr
Once back at the Republic headquarters on Caldus, the group begins working on other minor details important to each of them. Molok wants to gather a secondary team together to help the normal one; Onvee begins work on a ship designed to help a city to the north that has been captured by the Empire; Jessa keeps the formation of the ledgling Second Republic in order, and Ceris continues her studies the best she can alone.
While in route to a visit with Sajo, Onvee is approached by one of the Kazdan-Barr. She claims that she wishes him to be a messenger to the rest of the group that the Kazdan-Barr wish peace; she claims that the psychics have seen that the group were powerful warriors, which they should honor and not destroy. Although they claimed that they could easily crush the group, they would like instead to see a treaty formed where both of them could live in peace with one another. Onvee approaches the group, and the response to the offer is as varied as the characters. themselves. Still, the senator agrees to meet with their represenative, a droid, and a treaty is formed. The group returns to Caldus, where Jessa plans to tell the Senate and see what they think of such a treaty. She leaves while the rest of the group waits.
Part 43: The Garkan Seperation Front
Jessa was able to ratify the treaty with the Senate, with only one senator (Cee ("key") of Saluni) against. There is much debate in the senate on the subject of disbanding the Republic and joining with Garka - a move that Jessa, suprisingly, was for, being at a loss of what to do about the limited military and credits of the Second Republic. The admiral calls for the various individuals that would make up the secondary team, a team at this time which remained unnamed. Due to this call, Torbet and Braku were both rejoined with the main team for the time being, and were with them when it was reported that a Garkan ship was destroyed by a group calling themselves the Garkan Seperation Front, which demanded that the Garkan militay be seperated from that of the Republic. They took responsibility for the destruction of the Honor (a Second Republic ship) and the Shield (a smaller Garkan ship).
Onvee knew in an instant that the broadcast must have come from inside the Republic headquarters as other communication had been made impossible by the field that was now around Caldus. Invstigating, the group soon discovered a Shi ship that had changed it's course. Ceris, using the Force, was certain that this was the ship that contained the terrorists,a nd they gave chase, leading the group once again to Bantooine (passing through the Allied Worlds, which chose to remain neutral in the event and let both ships pass). On Bantooine, they were able to capture the enemy soldiers without much of a struggle, except for the fact that the captain of the group had to be captured by Braku, who had brought his E-Wing along for just such an emergency. The members of the GSF were brought back to Republic headquaters and were not interrogated in ways that exceeded questions - Jessa Argo would not violate Republic law and have the prisinors drugged or beaten.
Part 44: Rayfor
The characters traveld to the Allied Worlds where they visited both SBO32 and Halabat, and met with the leader of the Allied Worlds, Rayfor. He decided to meet with the group, they assume, because they had met and battled the Kazdan-Barr. It was suspected that he could detirmine who was "infected" by their powers. Talking with him, the group learned a few interesting facts: the Kazdan-barr were created by the Halabatians as a weapon against the Sith and Jedi, the Halibatians were immune to their mental powers; the Halibatians trusted the Kazdan-Barr, but did admit that they might have lost their sense of purpose in the past now that they were disbanded; and that the Kazdan-barr had abandoned the world given to them, which was a virtual paradise, for unknown reasons. They also discovered that the Kazdan-Barr had been making many treaties throughout the galaxy, apparently limiting the amount of conflict they were against for unknown reasons. Thanking Rayfor for his help, the group left quickly, traveling back to Republic Space.
Molok had a disturbing dream, or vision, of giant crystal colums that stretched like giant redwoods inside a large black cave. The crystals were alive with shimmering lights, and spoke to him, saying that they had been "disturbed".
Part 45: Hyperdrive
Back on the battle-torn world of Caldus, the heroes prepared to keep the struggle against the Empire and the Garkan Seperation Front alive, but were suprised to be called into an emergency meeting with Admiral Batana.
A top serect Hyperdrive had been stolen from a secret testing area on Jarantine. Around Saluni, the original base platform had been left inhabitable by a massive explosion, one in which all the original plans and records of the device were destroyed. This left only the prototype of a hyperdive that could change the course of the battles against the Empire in the hands of Wesal and Tog, two ametuer smuglers. The question was how did these two rookies pass by the security of the Republic and steal the device to begin with?
The heroes tried to find the device by asking around, looking to see who might have it now if it had been sold. To that end, they travelled to the spaceport on Caldus, seeking out Arbol, a smuggler who was rumored to be a likely canidate to have the device to sell. Indeed, they found that he was on Caldus himself, and they approached him. However, during the investigation, Arbol was attacked by assassian droids, and the heroes aided in the battle to save him (not only because they needed him, but because Arbol's ship had been destroyed by the assassian droids and caused to crash, blocking the exit to the facility). After a very intense battle, Arbol revealed that he did not have the device, although he was being hunted because everyone thought he did. Arbol agreed to help the group to find the device and clear his name.
In the following hunt, they discovered that a ship called the Gatherer, owned by a bounty hunter named Hersal, had veered off it's original course and headed toward Bantooine. The ship had come from Jarantine, where the device was stolen, and the timing made it likely that he was the one who had purchased the device from Wesal and Tog. Hersal was a very experienced bounty hunter, and it made sense that if he had the device, he would sell it to the Hutts, who would offer a hefty price.
Tracking the bounty hunter to Bantooine, the heroes soon discovered that he was working with Crimson, a deadly assassian who had a half-million credit bounty on his head from Red, the leader of the Grakan bounty hunters of Q'Larn. Trying to capture the targets proved to be difficult, however, as Crimson captured Doc and used him as a tool to buy time so that Hersal and himself could escape. During this process, the group learned that the bounty hunteronly stopped at Bantooine, and refused a large bounty for the hyperdrive.
Again, with the help of Hersal, the group followed, wondering the true intention of their prey. The ship travelled back to Saluni, where the base that designed the hyperdrive was located. Carefully, they followed, only to discover that they were being jammed, making communications impossible. It appeared that the base was in better condition than they had been led to beleive. From the outside, the platform was destroyed; from the inside it was perfectly habitable. The base was so far removed from the sensors of Saluni that the planet had taken the word of those that had "escaped" the blast, but had lied (see below).
After entering the base, the crew discovered that they had ingested nanobots that were slowly changing their DNA, causing them to become something... different. They found the crew of the starbase to be zombie-like, and mostly concentrated in the center. After a short battle against some of these altered beings, they discovered a huge ship being built, unlike anything they had ever seen (the technology being even greater than the the Allied Worlds or the Kazdan-Barr). The ship had been created by Survival Program 4, a sentient computer that was trying to re-create the Alu race, which had been killed in the crash of the original ship, a massive cruiser that housed the hyperdrive - which was taken, not created, by the Republic scientists, who were unaware that anything, especially a living computer, was still functioning. SP4 had remained silent and hidden until it had created the nanobots necessary to fulfill it's plan, and caused the scientists involved to "destroy" the base. However, it did not realize until too late that it's hyperdrive had been stolen. It sent scientists to contact and infect bounty hunters that could be used as scapegoats, and that would disappear with the hyperdrive (returning the hyperdrive straight to SP4 could easily be tracked).
Desperate to survive against the computer, which could control them using the nanobots, sympathetic to it's plight, and sorry for the actions the Republic had taken against the Alu, the heroes decided to allow the ship to leave with no fight, with the condition that they were able to take Hersal and Crimson with them. Hersal was given over to the Republic for trial. Crimson, it was decided, would be taken to Q'Larn and given to Red for the half-million bounty, which would aid the Republic, which was almost out of credits.
During these adventures, the Garkan Seperation Front's insider, a Republic scientist, was uncovered by Jessa, Onvee and Ceris and the bomber used a dead-man's grip explosive to get the upper hand on the situation, as well as sensor traps that even Ceris could not entirely avoid. Onvee was captured, but Jessa gave herself in place of the engineer. Ceris, hiding aboard the crimminal's escape ship, attacked and sucessfully subdued the villian, and Jessa saved the ship from crashing and killing them all.
Part 46: The Deal Goes Sour
Arjan, Molok and Corvin deilvered Crimson to Red on Q'Larn, only to find that the bounty hunter guild's master had other plans than to pay out a half-million credits for Crimson. Instead, he had his thugs attack the group while he made his escape (barely, as Arjan pulled out a bag of tricks in order to try to stop him), even enlisting the help of Crimson in return for his freedom.
Tracking Red's ship and attacking it, Red fired away in an escape shuttle, although it was successfully tracked into a nearby city where the attackers would be less likely to use heavy weaponry. While homing in on the shuttle, the group was attacked by Crimson! (Wait... what?! see below).
Crimson proved to be a powerful opponent, as he had cybernetic limbs and abilities far beyond normal human. Setting his weapons off aboard the Pathfinder, he damaged the ship, only to escape to it's hull, where he began to sabotage the cannons. Molok followed him there, and used an explosive to blow Crimson off to the edge of the ship (also damaging the cannons in the process). In a deperate attempt to escape, Crimson lept from the ship toward a nearby building, possibly to grasp on one of the ledges and climb inside.
The authorites soon arrived and ordered the group to stop and disarm. Molok kept firing, and in fustration and anger, Arjan threw a thermal detonator at his enemy, and the weapon did it's job all to well. Crimson was destroyed in the blast, but the detenator also damaged the nearby buildings, causing much destruction (but no loss to life). Panicked, the heroes fled.
Soon, back on Caldus, the group fought amongst itself, but finally decided to turn in Arjan, Molok and Corvin to the Garkan authorities. Jessa swore to do what she could for them. The destruction caused at the site was great, however, and it was assumed that even with their shining record as war heroes they would soon be in the hold of Valus, the prison world...
Crimson's Story
It appeared that Crimson had been working for Red all along, as a double-spy against Gorka the Hutt. This also showed why red was so unwilling to pay his fee for Crimson's capture - Crimson had never been captured and was so good that it was thought he never would be. As an "enemy" of Red's, he was also in a unique position to work as a trusted member for the Hutts, which he had succeeded in doing. When Red was in danger, he agreed to help for his freedom, but in reality was going to try to help his employer escape.
Part 47: Duel to the Death
The heroes begin travel back toward Caldus, but are stopped by the Krung over Jera. The Argo being badly damaged by a ship coming out of hyperspace, Corvin decides to take a quick escape to a nearby tiny planet called Hinos (see Maps). As Molok follows in the Pathfinder, Ceris senses that their friends are in danger and the Pathfinder follows.
The Krung battle the characters, who try to make a hasty escape but find that the Argo cannot escape the atmosphere. However, they attach the Pathfinder to the Argo and force both ships into space.
The Krung were waiting. Forced to fight, they do so, only to be shocked to discover that Darth Merciless, the villian that they have heard so much about but have never actually seen, has arrived as well, working with this group of Krung. When the Krung decide to battle with honor, however, Merciless leaves quickly, after claiming that he will be back for Corvin in the future.
Arjan battles the Krung's champion to the death at an abandoned mining platform on the planet's surface. Satisfied, the Krung leave, allowing the characters enough time to begin repairing the Argo from orbit.
Part 48: Time, for a Change
Once repaired, the characters are concerned about the patchwork systems and decide to have 58, Corvin's R2 unit, fly the ship back to Jera. However, the ship does not make the flight through hyperspace (GM note: Jet, the player, had a 2% chance of failure and rolled a 1!) and is lost.
Through mind-bending mathmatical work, Onvee thinks that he knows the area of space that the ship might have exited hyperspace from, which is a system called Chadara in Iluni-Empire space. The Pathfinder goes toward the area, hoping the ship would becaught in the gravity well of the Garkan Line. Once there, the characters meet Commadore Entressa, in command of the line of that area, but no sign of the Argo. They discover that there are traders, and a hidden base, in the area, and decide to investigate at that hidden pirate city called Nelvo, which is buried in the middle of a destroyed planet which still keeps it's shape (somewhat) thanks to it's odd gravity system.
Once there (after flying through and asteroid field where Corvin took control of the Pathfinder and Molok grudgingly thanked him), the group met Nelvo himself, the scoundrel the city was named after, who prefered to govern his city and take in taxes rather than to trade himself, but who had an impressive collection of ships (Arjan even purchased a speeder). Again, however, they found no hint of the Argo.
Then, without warning, the group received a signal from 58, coming from an empty area of space. Cautiously, they left Nelvo and approached, and encountered what they thought was a giant cloaking field. After some time, they realised that they were looking into a wormhole that seemed to connet into the future itself! The Argo and other ships came from the wormhole, and the characters had to fight off what appeared to be futuristic Kazdan-Barr fighters. The Argo rescued, they approached and entered the damaged ship.
Inside they found a female dressed in similar aromor as Arjan, but who was a Jedi named Mito (me-too). They discovered that she was also a Kazdan-Barr clone with some mental powers. The female jedi quickly attached herself to Ceris, and although hesitant at first, decided to reveal what she knew of the future.
Apparently, Mito had come from another universe where the Empire had won the battle at Garka and had taken that area of space, and the Republic had broken their deal with the Kazdan-Barr over slavery issues and were at war with them as well. However, a second fleet of ships from the Republic had arrived through a 1-way tunnel in the Shadow Nebula and the battles were on even footing. Some of the Kazdan-Barr had left that group, discovering that their powers did indeed come from the Force, and they had trained under Conros. In that universe, Sajo had never existed or had never been found. Mito claimed that the Argo was hers, as she had owned it for some time after it was given to her 8 years ago by Conros.
Part 49: The Deception Revealed
The crew now struggled to return to Caldus in the damaged Pathfinder and Argo. During this process, however, strange things began to happen. First, Jessa and Corvin both fell unconcious, although Corvin fought as if he was being forced into it. Looking over the energy readings of the "wormhole" that led into the other timeline, Onvee was certain that the figures made such an event impossible. Mito showed abilities beyond what she had made of herself at first. The crew began to receive communications they found later to only be in their own minds. Finally, looking over the ship's logs, they discovered that there was a 30 minute timeframe that existed, but they could not remember, just before the time-hole had appeared.
Injecting Ceris with Hypno, a powerful drug, she was able to remember some details of the missing time, including that a female had come on board and implanted memories into each of the crew (although Ceris could not remember exactly who the person was or what memories had been implanted). Molok slowly began to suspect that Mito was not a visitor from another time, but one of the Kazdan-Barr from their own timeline, seeking passage back to Conros so she could destroy him. No sooner than these thoughts had begun to form, the jedi-like Mito attacked, almost killing Molok if not for sheer luck of him falling over a cockpit chair. Ceris, fighting the drug's effects, fought back, taking the attention of the warrior off the rest of the crew, most of which were instantly knocked unconcious by the mentally-powerful assassin. Although almost successful, Mito was not able to deflect all of Molok's blaster blots, and she fell. Molok, however, took two of the returned blasts, one to the arm, and one to the leg.
Arriving at Caldus, the crew found the Kazdan-Barr waiting to confront the one that had betrayed their queen. The Kazdan-Barr thanked the Republic, and the heroes delivered the body of the fallen warrior to them. Afterwards, the Pathfinder limped back to port, barely able to make the journey, the damaged Argo trailing after.
Game Notes: Mito used a double-bladed (blue) lightsaber, which was destroyed. However, Ceris kept two of it's gems, one of which she was drawn to (meaning she was able to use it to construct a lightsaber).
Part 50: Caldus Awakens
Now back on the world of Caldus, the crew began repairs on the Pathfinder and Argo, and sought out council from both Master Conros and Master Sajo on what to do and expect next. Conros was willing to continue the training of Corvin and the pirate-turned-hero began intense physical training. Conros also warned him that he would also begin intense mental training as well, and his patience and willingness to sacrifice to acheive ends would be tested. Sajo refused to allow Soleeth to fight in upcoming battles, not beleiving that he was ready to face the Dark Side and not be turned.
While the group began to form plans and ask questions here and there, Ceris began to have a strong feeling from the Force, a feeling of importance from the Imperial fortress that sat on the surface of Caldus. Gathering her friends together, she claimed that she would infiltrate the base. Because of the intense strength of the military there, many of the heroes were against this, but Ceris claimed that she would go with or without them. As a team, they decided to follow Ceris' lead. Jessa insisted that she be allowed to be part of the group. Conros afterward insisted that Corvin could not go on the mission, even telling him that he defied that wish that Conros would no longer train him. Relectantly, Corvin agreed.
Taking the captured TIE bombers and disguised as pilots, the crew were able to use intercepted Imperial codes and IDs to infiltrate the enemy base, not knowing what they were there to find. Slowly, they began to investigate, and discovered that the Imperials were having trouble with the unit cooling itself from time to time, which was causing massive feedback throughout the unit. Normally, this was impossible on the type of planet Caldus was.
The group split into two units, one led by Molok and Jessa to find an escape shuttle, and the other led by Ceris, Onvee and Arjan to the lower levels of the energy plant, trying to uncover the source of the cooling.
Once in the lower levels, Ceris discovered the source of the activity - the crystal beings that had, from time to time, warned them (through mental powers) that the battles on Caldus must stop. Communicating through the Force, Ceris connected her mind, the mind of the crystals, and the thoughts of both Corvin and Sajo together. In time, they discovered that the crystals were disturbed by the activity on the surface, and were batteries of energy (both physical and that of the Force). More computer than living, they simply wanted the increased activity on the surface ended, as it disturbed thei intricate web of crystals that chambered throughout the surcae of the planet. In a display of power, they caused an explosion large enough to destroy a city on the southern part of the planet, and then waited in silence.
During this time, Corvin was taught to clear his mind and meditate on the situation at hand. Because of this, he realized, through the Force, that the admiral of the Republic forces would make a great error. Going to the tatical headquarters, he went against orders, not pulling the group from the city and asking the admiral to wait before bombing the Imperial locations. The Admiral agreed, which saved the lives of the heroes, including Jessa, Molok, Arjan, Ceris and Onvee.
In a desperate move, Ceris decided to ask the crystals to destory the Imperial base where they were, thinking that by doing this, they could fool the Empire into beleiving that the Republic had a secret ultimate weapon, and the Empire would leave Caldus. While this plan might have worked, Sajo was apparently not willing to let so many of her temmates die, and, in silence, connected her mind to every crystal being on the planet, basically taking control of the massive organisim. Using their ability to generate atomic levels of energy, she worked through them to destroy each and every Imperial base on the planet in a massive explosion, ending the occupation of the planet in mere moments. The few remaining troops of the Empire fled, and either were captured or escaped. However, the strain of the mental bond with so many at once was too much for Sajo to handle, and the strain killed her. Taking her body away, Molok burned it on a pyre deep in the woods of Caldus, at the same time the Republic celebrated it's freedom from the Empire.
