A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...A
Part 51: Discovery of the Shi Paths
Molok tests a scanning system that is very precise over the world of ChiDie (Chee-Die), at the invitation of the Garkan government. There the Pathfinder discovered a cave network of the sought-after force crystals, used by force-users to create their lightsabers. Molok and Onvee quickly returned to Caldus to tell Conros their findings.
Far away on Jaybor, Ceris, in her training, hears a sound like a mountain crashing. Following the sound, she discovers a crashed Kazdan-Barr capitol ship. Sensing that the Force is telling her it is time to leave, she also travels to Caldus to meet with the Republic and others, to alert them to the possible danger (after all, what causes a Kazdan-Barr capitol ship to crash?).
There the entire group met, along with Corvin, who was training under Conros. They decided to travel to Jaybor, except for Conros, who decided that it was best if he did not travel with the group, which might upset the uneasy truce with the once-enemies of the Republic (the Kazdan-Barr were located on Jaybor when the Republic first found them, and they fear the Jedi).
On Jaybor, they discovered a lone survivor of the crash, a Kazdan-Barr warrior. Reading the minds of the group, she was very suspicious of them, but was obviously hurt and stunned and did not attack. Leading her back to her home, she bid them farewell.
In space around the planet, the new scanners of the Pathfinder II discovered that there was a single, invisible wormhole around that world, which led to Shi. Later the group traveled to Shi itself through the wormhole, testing it successfully. At Shi, however, they discovered a much greater shock...
Surrounding Shi, there were over sixty invisible wormholes, traveling with the orbit of the planet itself, unknown to anyone until now.
After reporting the wormholes to the Republic, the heroes returned to Shi to uncover more science behind them, but were attacked by a mysterious group of Krung that destroyed the Pathfinder II, and even more tragically, killed Arjan's wife in the process. Shattered by this, he tried to follow them, but turned back at the call of his allies.
Part 52: The Allied Worlds break the Truce of the Unclaimed Territories
Wanting to seek out the Kazdan-Barr to discover who attacked the Republic group and killed Arjan's wife, and why, the group took a transport ship back to Republic space, with Arjan as a wingman. Then, after having their droids repaired, they decided to travel to the Allied Worlds to ask for permission to speak with the Kazdan-Barr further. When asked why, the group told Rayfor, the leader of the Allied Worlds, about the attacks and the wormholes around Shi. Soon after, they were ushered off the world.
Afterwards, the group witnessed the Allied Worlds fleet taking off for Jaybor (then Shi). With the might of the most powerful fleet in the sector, the Allied Wolds quickly took Shi as their own, as peacefully as possible (using ion cannons as the primary weapons), although there were a few deaths on both sides. The heroes were also attacked in an effort to capture them, but they escaped thanks to the piloting of Corvin.
Part 53: The Sith Attempt to Capture Jerad
Traveling to FeeYou in an effort to meet with Jerad, the heroes discover that he is on his way to his home world and they should be able to meet with him face-to-face. However, upon the arrival of his personal ship, but one only being used as a scout vessel, an attack by Jestus, the well-known Sith, took place. Apparently, the attack happened too soon, with Jestus thinking that the personal ship was being used to transport the great leader of the Free Worlds to the surface.
Cut off from their own ship, the heroes had to battle their way across the capitol and into the lower military landing sites, with turret droids on their heels all the way. Ceris did combat with an alien Sith, who did well against her, but with the battle ending in stalemate (the Sith quickly withdrew when Molok also joined the battle and nearly killed him during the retreat).
Getting back to the Pathfinder, the group was able to rescue innocent bystanders as the Garkans blasted the majority of Jestus' troops from space. Afterwards, they joined Jerad and told him the news of the Allied worlds grouping in the Unclaimed Territories, to which he announced his desire to remove them and asked for the Republic's help. The heroes asked for time to resolve the issue and promised to talk with Rayfor, leader of the Allied worlds. Jerad agreed but made no promises that he would stand by for long.
Part 54: Meetings with the Allied Worlds
Traveling back to Caldus, the group met with Conros and Soleeth. Corvin also encountered the spirit of Sajo Farr (although none of the group realizes that he speaks with her on occasion), and she told the fledgling Jedi that he would have the power to save Rayfor, but if he decided to do so he would risk the lives of the others he loved and cared for.
With that cryptic message the group traveled to Barancade, where they were escorted to the Diligent, a massive cruiser commanded by one of the Halabatians. There they discussed their intent to meet with Rayfor, who refused to meet with ambassadors and senators. At first they were refused, but after discovering that they might be allies against the attacks of the mysterious group of Krung in the territories, they were allowed to stay on the Diligent as it made it jumps to Shi. There they would be allowed to speak with Rayfor.
Although they did speak with Rayfor, and convinced him to go to speak with the other sectors, Rayfor was killed in a Krung attack, although not by the Krung. During the attack, a Sith, hidden aboard the Diligent, made sure that the leader was dead, although Doc did everything he could to protect him (his friends had left to fight the Krung). Doc took an almost-fatal shot to the head and nearly lost his life. The Sith died during the explosion of Rayfor's ship (?)...
Part 55: The Republic Senate Debates
Molok and Soleeth went before the Senate, where they were told that the Garkan military was posed to strike, but they were given another chance to make peace, if possible. However, they were unable to convince GreyPay, the new leader of the Allied Worlds, to stand down or allow further troops to arrive from Garka, The Republic or the Empire. They discovered that GreyPay had Kazdan-Barr for bodyguards as well. Torn on what to do, the new leader of the Senate, Trea of Saluni, called for more time and asked Garka to wait before they attacked, and called for the Senate to meet again in four days. This left Jerad of Garka in deep thought about the future of the alliance with the Republic, no doubt.
Part 56: The Separation Front Attempts to Attack the Allied Worlds
Molok is asked by the admiral to accompany the Chancellor, as she has decided to go talk with the Allied Worlds herself, taking only the Diplomat, a heavy cruiser with a mixture of both Garkan and Republic forces aboard. To aid him, Molok asks Corvin to go along as well. Aboard the Diplomat, they meet the Chancellor and the ship's commander, Colonel Fengrel (a Jeran - see the Encyclopedia section).
All goes well as the ship enters hyperspace and the first hour of the voyage goes on (with friendly banter as well, with Corvin poking fun at Molok's new rank of Colonel). However, the lighthearted mood is soon replaced with the sounds of alarms. During the meal time where the majority of the Republic members were fed, a poison was released throughout the lower half of the ship. With most of the resisting soldiers dead, the attackers revealed themselves - the Garkan Separation Front, led by Col. Fengral. His forces quickly dispatched any resistance, and he took Corvin, Molok and the Chancellor hostage.
Fengral and The Republic captain, Captain Nod, tried to convince the characters to join the Front in their plan, which was to use stolen Imperial "wormhole killer" missiles to destroy the wormholes. Around Shi, which would do away with the focus of the impending war. However, the destruction of the space tunnels would cause a huge explosion that would also destroy hundreds of thousands of lives, causing the destruction of many allied ships around that planet and some of the surface of the planet itself.
Refusing to join, the heroes decided instead to escape, surprisingly, with the help of a protocol droid, and with the help of Torbet, who was in disguise aboard the Diplomat in his efforts to uncover the leaders of the Garkan Separation Front. Fighting their way to the missile control systems, they were able to launch the missiles prematurely, with only seconds to spare. However, they were so close to the Allied Fleet they had to use the escape pods to get off of the ship, which they assumed would be captured (but was instead destroyed completely). The escape pod landed on Shi, leaving the crew stranded on a barren strip of enviromentally-hostile planet with a fleet above that at least wanted them captured, and probably wants them dead...
Part 57: Stranded on Shi
Corvin and Molok escort the Republic Chancellor across the unforgiving terrain of Shi, which appears to be made of rock, but upon inspection has many forms of life (most simply have adapted to blend in with the surroundings). Most of the large animal life is restricted to the sea. However, the most dangerous aspect of the surroundings is discovered to be the landscape itself. Like ice that remains after a river has lowered, thin crystals had formed over much of the terrain after the sea receded, leaving some areas of thick crystal and some very thin ones that could easily break under a man's weight.
Running from the Allied World troops that tracked them in powered armor, the heroes finally were cornered, with the thin layers of crystal behind them and the powered armor troopers coming for them. Tricking the Allied forces onto the brittle ledges (while placing themselves in considerable danger for a few moments), the powered armor troopers fell to the bottom of the trenches, stuck but not killed, allowing the Republic forces time to escape south, where they located a refueling area for a small group f Shi fighters.
The captain of this small group is Lord Inhar, a prince of the world of Shi. Inhar strikes the heroes as a capable fighter and a wise and strong leader. He is actually an adopted son of Emperor Veo Shi. Inhar offers a ship powerful enough to possible escape the blockade, if the heroes will bring the Emperor's young son, Vrey, to safety.
The heroes witness a crash of Kazdan-Barr and Krung fighters. Investigating, they speak shortly with the Kazdan-Barr. Corvin accidentally reads her mind, and she attacks, forcing a battle that ends in her death. However, the mind-reading did reveal some clue to a larger picture: The Zun Union lies beyond one of the wormholes, and is very important to the Kazdan-Barr.
Part 58: Escape from Shi
With good planning, the heroes try to escape the blockade of Shi, but soon discover they will not make it in time. With the Allied fleet pressing down upon them, the heroes consider using a wormhole, but instead are surprised by the appearance of Zun ships that attack and destroy one medium Allied cruiser. Using the confusion for another moment, the heroes escape into hyperspace.
Part 59: Death of the Zun Ambassadors
Traveling back to Caldus, Corvin, Torbet, Molok and the crew (including the Chancellor and Prince of Shi) planned to meet with Conros, thinking he might have knowledge of the Zun.
However, the Zun had followed the heroes back to Caldus to announce that they had offered an alliance with the Garkan and Republic forces.
The Zun were discovered to be a highly advanced droid race, who came from an area of the galaxy where the humanoids had died away long ago from a horrible plague. The Zun claimed that on their worlds no organic beings existed at all. It was also revealed by them that they have been in conflict with the Kazdan-Barr for many years, and much of the Kazdan-Barr technology came from the advanced Krung ship designs. The Zun outmatched them in machinery, but the ability of the Kazdan-Barr to see things that they could not with their mental powers proved to be a very extreme challenge for the logical race.
When Molok asked why they had not included the Empire in their alliance, the Zun answered that they were aware that the Empire and Republic forces had been in conflict, and the Republic forces were closer and stronger, a strictly logical choice. Molok was concerned that the Zun's choice was not based in morals but only in logic.
The Zun did make one offer as proof of friendship - the knowledge of a wormhole that matched the particle readout of the Lost Sector - in other words, the way home. Molok suggested using the two-way wormhole to go for help - but the Zun did indicate that it was in the thick of the blockade and almost no ship or even small group of ships would have a chance of survival in a direct assault. Even if the wormhole leads to the same area of space, it could take weeks, or even months, for the ship to travel to any known hyperspace route.
The ambassadors of the Zun decided to leave after delivering their message, but before they could, an explosion rocked the headquarters of the Republic. The Garkan Separation Front had attacked once again, learning of these strange visitors. A fire fight took place (with Ceris at the front, lightsaber in hand), and when it had ended one ambassador was dead, and Onvee was taking care of the other two. The real concern was that Corvin and Jessa had disappeared, captured, it seemed, by the GSF.
Looking for their friends, it took Ceris and Molok far longer than they had hoped to find them. Hours after their search began, they found their way to the GSF "headquarters", a hole in the ground. The GSF had left before the heroes arrived, although they did have to defeat a ground worm, a rather large tunneling creature of nasty appetite, that had made it's way into the GSF's base. Conros stayed behind to fight battle droids set to stop intruders.
They were successful in finding Corvin and Jessa, but Corvin had been given psychonite, a drug that would induce insanity, for which there is no known cure. Hoping that the Zun or other group might be able to help him, Molok placed Corvin into Bacta Freeze once back at Republic Headquarters.
Part 60: Death of the Zun Ambassadors
 Corvin overcomes the psychonite.
Onvee discovers that the Zun are as complex as organic beings.
Molok is attacked by Anomus (the Veeztar) as the group tries to get back to headquarters, and is wounded badly.
 Ceris confronts and defeats Shard.
Jessa tries to stop Anomus from leaving with Corvin, but fails.
Molok discovers that Admiral Newlan is the killer of his long-dead friends.
Ceris, at the request of Admiral Batana, visits the Republic senate.
The Chancellor requests that Jessa take command, but she refuses, instead choosing to aid Corvin.
The senate decides to go to war.
The Empire states that they surrender their forces to the Republic in an effort to get home.
Corvin is brought to Gorka the Hutt, and the group finds out that he was the real target this time - Darth Merciless sent Jestus to bring him back. However, his friends arrive and save him, while fighting and wounding Gorka's albino rancor
Onvee continues to repair the Zun leader.
Jerad requests that Ceris act as his guard after yet another attack against him. Conros agrees to help protect the Chancellor.
The Unified Fleet is formed, made of the Garkan, Imperial and Republic forces, and prepare to jump to Shi to battle the forces there and remove them. Afterwards, the Republic and Empire should be able to use the wormhole there to return home.
Part 61: FeeDon Gar Appears; Last Chance for Peace
Molok's child is revealed, and kidnapped by Jaira Boom's brother, Vertis.
Vertis is revealed to be the leader of the Garkan Separation Front, and Boom was working with him. Her knowledge of some of the GSF's secrets was the reason behind the kidnapping.
Ceris sees a horrible image of the future where she must sacrifice herself to defeat a Jedi master as of yet not encountered.
Ceris, Onvee and Molok, along with Boom, travel to a minor world near Garka where they encounter Vertis and Fee-Don Gar, an old Jedi Master. They agree, after some debate, to return to Garka and allow Vertis to plea with Jerad and the Garkan Council not to go to war.
It is revealed that the GSF's missiles that exploded over Shi did have their intended effect - the wormholes are slowly growing smaller and will close. Onvee tells Molok that he can reverse the effect. Molok tells this to Admiral Batana.
It is discovered that the GSF has the Conquerer loaded with explosives, and that with the codes that Boom possesses, can detonate it at any time. She enters the codes into a data pad that Molok keeps.
The Garkan Council hears Vertis' plea and decides to allow 2 days for a second team to speak with the Allied Worlds so there will hopefully be no war.
Part 62: The Second Battle of Garka
Admiral Batana offers Corvin lead of the Rancor Squadron, and he accepts. He is sent to aid the Pathfinder on their mission of peace. He convinces the admiral to "invite" Jessa Argo as well.
The trip is delayed - Jerad of Feeyou, a Sith and long-term enemy of the heroes, sneaks aboard the capitol ship, but is found by Fee-Don-Gar. He easily outmatches Jerad, but his body fails due to his extreme age and Jerad is able to strike him down. Ceris continues the fight and is able to finally defeat and kill Jerad. Fee-Don-Gar reveals to Ceris that there is a secret in the Force-Caves of Chidie. Conros felt that it was too soon for Ceris to learn the secret, if ever, but Fee-Don-Gar felt that Ceris should know.
The heroes discover a strange energy around the Pathfinder and determine that it has something to do with the wormholes. Onvee becomes fascinated by this.
Torbet comes to Corvin and announces that he will be on a transport and won't take place in any upcoming battles, if there are to be any.
Sajo Farr appears to Corvin for the final time to say her goodbyes before becoming one with the Force. She reminds him that all are not heroes, but friendships are also as important.
During the delay, Ceris travels to Chidie and attempts to learn the secrets of the caves. With the help of Conros, who followed her, she learns not a great power, as she expected, but instead that the Force was truly good and evil, Light and Dark, and that the Force would corrupt her and her people if they kept down their path. Her very beliefs shaken, she made sure Conros was away, and then blasted the caves with proton torpedoes, destroying it. Afterwards, she contacted the group to meet them at Shi.
The heroes travel to Shi, where they are invited by GreyPay to meet him. They discover that he has been led to believe that the Garkans will attack in any case, and has sent his fleet to make a surprise attack against the Garkans. GreyPay has an attack (discovered later to have been placed in his body by Darth Merciless), and at the same time his ship is attacked by Krung. The heroes escape with GreyPay back to Garka, through the wormhole. Ceris tries to read the thoughts of GreyPay and sees images of Darth Merciless - Jerad of Garka!
The heroes leave, but not before Molok fires a missile that should stabilize the wormhole back to the Republic.
Once at Garka, they discover a massive battle between thousands of ships. Ceris leaves to do battle with Merciless, meeting Conros on the way.
Onvee discovers the wormhole's energy around all of the ships - and believes that there is a chance to pull the ships that came through the wormhole back through it, and collapse the wormhole at the same time, with a quickly modified proton torpedo. However, the minefield protecting the path is nearly impossible to get through. Dack quickly tries, but is killed in the process.
Ceris and Conros attempt to fight merciless, but Conros is quickly devastated by Merciless, who uses Force Lightning against him. Ceris seems to get a quick footing against merciless right away - but discovers merciless is simply trying to lure her to the Dark Side - and she takes the bait. Merciless grabs her lightsaber in his hand, destroying it, with an energy feedback that blows up the saber in her hand.
While Merciless would have been able to take this chance to destroy Ceris, Conros intervenes and uses his Telekinesis to destroy the bridge Merciless is on. Although this does not kill Merciless, it does stop him long enough for Ceris to gain Conros' Lightsaber.
In space, Captain Ragar also dies, and Corvin tells the others to retreat. Diving into the minefield, he tries to contact Sajo Farr, but is instead to hear the voice of Conros, telling him to believe in the Force, that through it all things are possible. Feeling the Force flow through him, Corvin guide his ship through the field, taking hit after hit, but surviving. The missile he fires finds it's home, and he flies what is left of his ship out of the field.
Ceris, easily being pushed back by merciless and realizing that she will not be able to beat him in a direct fight, decides instead to use strategy, sending her blade toward Merciless' back. Merciless gambles, grabbing Ceris, knowing that if the lightsaber struck him it would also strike though him and into her as well. Not anticipating Ceris' near-suicidal nature after her new knowledge of the Force, he is surpassed when she allows the blade to pierce them both. Their bodies falling to the floor, Merciless finally dies.
The Grand Moff dies under suspicious circumstances, and Admiral Newlan takes command of the Imperial fleet. He strikes hard against the Republic, but leaves quickly when he anticipates that there might be a chance of defeat. Molok has a chance to use the codes, but decides not to do so as there are many Republic forces still aboard the ships.
The wormhole explodes and implodes in a wave that covers the entire fleets. The Allied Worlds' ships are pulled to Shi and all the wormholes collapse, except the one to the Republic (see above - Molok had fired a missile that stabilized this wormhole). Startled and bewildered by this, the Allied Worlds retreat, later to realize that the wormholes are gone. What their reaction to the one wormhole remaining would be, if any, remains to be seen.
Ceris survives with the aid of cybernetics, but will have problems the remainder of her life.
Mysteriously, Darth Merciless' body was not found.
All the heroes, including those that fell, are awarded with medals and honors, making them heroes of The Lost Sector Wars.
Still, Admiral Newlan still controls the Iluni sector and has captured over a thousand prisinors. Back home, the Empire still remains in Republic space as well. How will the Republic react to some of it's worlds trapped through a wormhole? What will the heroes of the sectors do now that they can go home?
