History
The Return
Now back in Republic space, the group receives orders to leave the fleet at the opening of the wormhole (near Hutt space) and return to Courascant. They do so, and are quickly debriefed and told to arrive at Duros in the next few days to help make sure the fleet that has returned is hidden until the Republic can best make sure how to use the ships that have suddenly appeared.
Jessa joins her mother once again. her mother quickly takes a liking to the charismatic Corvin. Her father has not returned home for some time, as he is an experienced pilot of the Republic. Her brother arrives and, being down on his luck, borrows several thousand credits from Jessa.
Ceris left a message for her people.
Molok Brandenburg tried to contact General Skywalker so that Rysa could be trained as a Jedi. No response came from this initial communication.
Shadow Destroyer
However, before the group could meet at Duros, they were interrupted in flight and alerted to another situation. It appeared from recent intelligence information that a large ship might be hiding using advanced cloaking technolgy around the planet of Selonia. Investigating this, the Pathfinder's sensors discovered that the ship was a large, black Star Destroyer called the Demon's Horn, and did battle with a few TIE fighters. The ship appeared about the same time as another, similar Star Destroyer above Duros. Thinking that the Demon's Horn was going to aid the attack of Duros, Admiral Odok requested that the Pathfinder and crew devise a plan to stop the rendevous of both ships. The Pathfinder, having a much faster hyperdrive, was able to arrive at Sacorria before The Demon's Horn.
Once there, the group requested an audience with the planet's government, and requested to use their jamming technology in a plan to fool the Star Destroyer ino thinking that an armada of ships were ready at Sacorria. Not wishing to take the extra time to plan a hyperspace jump, it was thought that the Demon's Horn would escape back the way it came and not mak it's planned meeting witrh The Chimera.
It took some taking from jessa to convince the government to do so, because they wished to remain neutral. However, in the end they agreed. The plan was hatched, and almost ruined due to scout ships arriving first. However, Ceris in her Y-Wing and the Pathfinder were able to defeat them with only moments to spare before thir jump into hyperdrive.
The Star Destroyer, seeing the false group of ships upon it's arrival, retreated, making the mission a success. News reached the Republic later that Duros had been taken by the Empire, but at the loss of the Chimera (the Imperial Star Destroyer used for the attack).
The Return of Lanar
The characters returned to Corascant - Prace, a jedi knight, contacted Molok and agreed to train Rysa as a Jedi - but informed Molok that due to tradition and her age that she would need to be trained in seclusion and away from distraction - such as her family. Jaira, Molok's wife, heatedly disagreed with this plan, and the training was declined.
The group reacted as part of a defense when a disguised imperial ship attacked the senate building, apparently to capure a senator (possibly Jessa, it was suggested). The attacking droids were destroyed, and the escaping ships made it into hyperspace, except one, which destroyed itself as opposed to being captured. On that ship they found Mir worms, a very volitile creature that could easily spread disease with it's bite. They also found Musk Weed, which could be fed to the cretures, but which was not their normal food.
Tracing the ship's modifications to Mull, a city-asteroid, the group went to find Captain Trag, known to make such modifications. Instead, they soon discovered that Trag was dead, and his name was being used by Captain Lanar, who was overwhelmed to see Corvin again and asked if he could help them.
The heroes discovered that Thunga the Hutt, ruler of Mull, was called away, for unknown reasons. Hileem, Thunga's personal tweelik servant, was placed in charge while she was gone. They also discovered Loro the Hutt was drug dealer located on Mull as well. Nither Hutt was encountered.
The heroes agreed to help, and Lanar took them (and his spokesperson Zeron and a few guards) in The Captain's Gold, his personal modified Tridirium Shuttle, to a meeting he arranged with the mysterious woman that hired him for the modifications.
During this meeting the heroes discovered that the woman was using clones, and that she seemed more like an object than a person to the force-users in the group. The heroes were attacked by her ship, which attempted to perhaps capture them with sleeping gas, but the ship was destroyed by Molok using a risky move and a thermal detonator. They discovered more worms and musk weed on the ships that were to be modified back on Mull, and discovered from a 2-1B medical droid that information top secret information existed on Corascant that described a process where a Mir worm could be fed musk weed treated with coroxin, a nerve agent, that would change the chemistry of the Mir Worn to release a toxin into the air that would contain a mutated version of the virus the woms carry as a horrible biological weapon.
The characters assumed that the attack on them must have meant that their cover was blown and they were recognized as Republic. They wanted to talk to and use the force upon Zeron and lanar's guards, but he resisted them doing so, claiming it would be breaking the trust between him and his men.
The explosion of the ship near Mull was reported back to Senator Jessa Argo, who had asked for any updates on the mission. Leaving with 6PO aboard the Argo, she travelled to Mull to meet with the others. Once together, many plans were made, but the mysterious woman, thought to have been killed in the explosion, resurfaced almost magically on Mull asking for another meeting. The group agreed, and Ceris, Corvin Onvee and Molok met with her on landing bay 57, which had failing force fields earlier and was no empty. She was revealed to be a droid copy of Venga Mourn, a daughter of an Imperial admiral from the rebellion wars. The heroes realized that there must be many such droids and the real Venga was in hiding somewhere, with her droids doing her work for her. The droids carried lightsabers, but were not force-sensitive. During this meeting "Venga" made many promises and revealed that she had infected the starbase with the virus, but would supply the antidote once the characters helped her fix her ship. She also stated that Thunga the Hutt would be supplied with the antidote and would return it to her people, obviously as a hero. The disease, once it reacted with the body, seemed not to spread again airborne, but Venga did state that the virus was easily modified, which was why it interested her.
Not all of the base was infected at this time, and Jessa, being aboard the Marauder, was lucky in the fact that she was not. Bribing the security (which was imposing a quarantine), she blasted out of Mull in te Argo and headed back to Corascant to warn them that a large ship might be coming to knock out the heavily shielded bio-scanning station above the planet, and would then infect it with a deadly disease (or so the heroes assumed).
Heading with Venga to her hidden base, he characters discovered an unknown planet which had a ion cloud cover, making scanning and communication from it or to it impossible. This made the planet early useless - except that the Empire had used it in the past to hide capitol ships during sensitive repair. On this planet, the remains of Dath Vader's personal Super-star Destroyer were under repair, easily the size of a large city. Although two-thirds of the ship was gone, the remainder had engines, weapons, life-support and communications, and was ready to launch except for a faulty hyperdrive. The ship explained how Venga would have gatered many supplies, and the many lightsabers her droid copies possessed.
The characters egan thier repairs throughout the ravaged interio of the ship, which was scattered with damage, derbis and bodies, even at one point making a repair in Vader's hyperbolic chamber. Onvee secretly encoded a command to turn the ship's weapons and hyperdrive off once the ship was scanned for biological agents.
Ceris sneaked away from the others. Covered by so much activity from the many other droids, Venga-droids were able to follow her, but she detected them once she began her return. They seemed to recognize that she was a force-user (or at least guessed as much) and three of them confronted her alone in the corridor, igniting their lightsabers and preparing for combat...
Part 2
The droids began their attack, but Ceris was able to fend off the first by throwing her into the bulkhead with the Force. The Venga droids seemed to fight among themselves at that point, and stopped their attack. They explained that they were compelled to fight force-users due to thier programming, but also knew that killing Ceris might interfere with their current mission. The conflict was not easy to resolve.
In the meantime, Onvee was able to make the necessary modifications with the help of the others. Once complete, Venga appeared to them and promised to cure them of thier infection and to allow them to leave. She even let Onvee scan her for malfunctions when asked, much to the surprise of the heroes. Ceris joined the group once again, and they were given the location of the cure and allowed to leacve, just as Venga had promised (apparently still without the knowledge that the heroes were Republic agents).
Jessa came back to Courascant and was able to find the information on the virus and work with the medical droids to form a cure, if necessary to start fighting a would-wide infection.
Before the Marauder could arrive, the Executor dropped out of hyperdrive above Courascant. Admiral Odock and Jessa looked on in great suspense, but were thankful to see the ship power down when it was scanned, just as Onvee had planned. However, it still cruised through space toward the medical platform on a head-on collision. Odok took his own ship, The Freedom, and used it to push the Executor away from the platform, with very little room for error. Althoug damaged, the Freedom was able to survive intact while the medical platform was saved. Without the platform being destroyed, the fighters with the virus were easily picked off as well.
The heroes were cured of the virus, and Thunga the Hutt returned as a hero to her people with a cure. Although it was assumed by the heroes that Thunga received the cure ahead of time from Venga for her help in the plan, this could not be proven.
Onvee, Jessa, Molok, Corvin and Onvee were all given special honors for their work that lead to the failure of Venga Mourn's plan. Her droids and clones were marked as wanted by the Republic.
The Duros Conflict
The heroes were sent, commanding the Freedom, to aid Duros in what was suely to be a heated battle. The Empire had taken over much of the world, and the Republic was dug into a mountain range on that world. The invasion by the Empire was inevitible.
Prepared for an aerial assult, the Republic was surprised by a underground-to-surface attack, as stormtroopers used giant drilling machines (UTT, Underground Troop Transport) to deliver assult forces into the mountain. In the meantime, a star destroyer did show up, firing missiles and bombs into the base power platforms (the militay commander of the Skybound Station had decided to leave the shields open for ease of shuttlecraft supplies, and once the attack had hit the main shield generator right away, there was no way to reactivate the field.
During this conflict, General Molok used the Freedom as a shield against attack to the frigites from the star destroyer. However, enough time was given to the Empire to evacuate their troops, which seemed to be their plan from the beginning. The commander of the star destroyer gave himself up in exchange for the release of his captured troops as well. But why leave a planet that they had struggled so hard to control, and successfully? The answer would soon reveal itself...
The Fourth Battle of Courscant
Once again, the group returned to Courascant, only to find that the world was taken over by the Empire! It seemed that the evacuation of so many troops from different systems was only to gather together for a strike on the capitol. The Republic, battered, escaped to the Wayland system, regrouping to lick it's wounds. During the return from Courascant (ordered immediate by Leia Organa), the force-sensitive characters felt a great aura of darkness, and Corvin had a vision of a reborn Vader.
The heroes, led by General Solo, returned to rescue Luke and Lando, who crashed in a medical frigite during thier attempt to escape. During the time on the Freedom, they formulated aplan: if the Empire was using a sudden army of droids, it must be using a technology similar to use during the Clone Wars, and would need a platform to give the droids orders. Knock out the platform, and the droids would be useless. Their mission: rescue the crashed survivors if possible, and find the platform and destroy it. The survivors could be used as valuable troops in the effort to destory the platform.
The Falcon, although newly refitted, was still hammered by the Imperials and crash-landed into Courscant, flown by Corvin. The Falcon was well hidden in a radiation field, but the characters still needed to find a way to finish thier mission and get off the planet. They headed into the city, where Prace (the jedi training Molok's daughter) felt that Skywalker would be. There was a skirmish with sharpshooters, which Molok and Corvin did well against.
A group of newly-activated battle droids came into the area, and Han and his group hid. However, Corvin was not able to make it back to the group in time, and was spotted by a Commando Battle Droid, but made quick work of it.
Finding their way into an underground hover-subway station, the group fought perdurers and other threats until they found their way to Calarissian and Skywalker, both staying at the location guessed at by Solo. From there, Skywalker left, followed by Molok, who saw him disappear in a localized wormhole. In the meantime, the other heroes tried to leave with rescued prisinors, but were captured by Admiral (name), Molok's old enemy that killed his friends long ago. Although he was not able to resolve the old conflict this time, Molok was able, with the help of his friends, to break the prisinors out of detention and back to the ships, but only after Corvin was tortured for information. The group found freedom, but Corascant was still in the hands of the enemy, and Skywalker was gone.
