Character History
Windo trimalon was not born in this realm, but instead came to the realms with his friend, Crinshaw Lander (father of Corshel Lander), from the worldof Oreth (also known as greyhawk).
During his life in Oreth, Windo was an orphan, and a theif who worked with various heroes in search of fame and glory. As he discovered more about the world around him, however, Windo became very interested in the ways of magic, and began the study of a mage under the teachings of Serath, a powerful wizard.
Serath was a scholar of artifacts, and Windo was facinated by the idea of these relics that contained god-like powers, like so many before him.
While in Oreth, Windo captured two artifacts, the Amber Crysal and the Dragon Orb. However, this created many enemies for him that he did not expect. When the chance came to travel to the Forgotten Realms, Windo decided that leaving his world would not be such a bad idea.
Although he traveled for a time adventuring, Windo finally came to the Great Glaicer, a vast area of ice and snow to the north of the known realms. There he used most of the power of his Amber Crystal to create a mountain-sized white crystal that hid itself well within the mountains. The false mountain was hollow in the inside, and Window began to gather the supplies he would need to build a kingdom there, including a castle.
Most of the kingdom was built through magic, and Windo hired the snow elves to build their flying ships for his travel.
Although his kingdom does have gardens and other self-made supplies, Windo's kingdom also needs to import supplies, including food. His hideaway in the ice glaicer also makes his home a natural retreat area for rouges of all kind.
Windo is trying to construct a pass through the Great Desert, but has been stopped by weather, monsters (including the incredibly powerful Phaerimm), and lack of gold.
Years ago the Blade traveled to the Great Glaicer on a mission to find the fabeled Dragonhelm, and were met by the Red Wizards. Although they defeated the wizards, they were without the Cloudrifter, and would have died if they had not stumbled upon the kingdom of Trimalon. At first they were met with hostility (as the Ice Kingdom was a secret at the time), but later the Blade were able to make friends with the king, who gave them everything they needed to continue their adventure.
Since that time, Windo has always been of great help to the Blade, and is a friend of king Artaylium Stenis.
