He was found on a doorstep in the Kingdom of Cormyr, and was raised by his foster father, Talagan. Many years later, after Talagan had died, and his son, the great grandson of Talagan, Malagan, taught Artaylium to use a blade. Malagan was Artaylium closest friend, and they were to join the armed forces together and seek fame and glory. </div> <div> However, just days before the day was to come to join the militia, the great dragonride began. Dragons swarmed over the kingdom, and Malagan was killed by a powerful breath weapon of acid. Artaylium remembered the scar on the side of the dragon's head and wing. He soon discovered the identity of the dragon: Brimstone. </div> <div> Artaylium learned that the dragon lived in the north, and traveled to Waterdeep. There he met and joined the group known as the Soaring Blade, and began fantastic adventures that would last for years. But he never forgot the dragon he wished to slay. Gathering all the magic he could find to combat dragons throughout his career, he prepared for the battle to come. </div> <div> Artaylium found out during his time with the blade that he was a Dragon Master, a soul destined to fight dragons. He was granted this destiny by a mysterious group of elven mages known as the Conclave. Artaylium does not know anything about this mysterious group other than their name. </div> <div> He also discovered that he was not abandoned as a child, but that he was taken from his parents, and was able to say his farewells to his aging father before he passed away. </div> <div> Finally, Artaylium found that Brimstone had moved into a set of mountains to the south of The Old Empires, and traveled by magic to the great mountain that the dragon made his home. Blessed by Tiamat, the Dragon Queen (a demipower of evil), Brimstone was more than ready to defeat Artaylium. Through skill, luck, magic and ingenuity, Artaylium defeated Brimstone and sent him screaming back to the hells from which he came. </div> <div> In recent times (for an elf, anyway), Artaylium took over as ruler of Llorkth, a small kingdom forged by Dinian O'Nell. He has since that time become the official king of that realm, upholding it's rightous laws and bringing great prosperity to the region, when compared to it's former state. </div> <div> Artaylium now concerns himself with the approaching Phaerimm, an evil race of monsters with unbeleivible magic powers. If they should breach his kingdom, all could be lost.</div> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
