History
Kendel "Coldfist" Moonsun was born long ago in the forests to the North, commonly known as the Savage Frontier. He was a clansman of the Clan of the Bone, a small sect of the well-known Uthgart Barbarians.
Kendel was soon recognized as the strongest man that would ever be. His size drawfed normel men, and he could lift as much as 5 grown mean easily. The clan decided that this was a blessing from the gods, and forced Kendel to do much more work, all of it designed to make him stronger and stronger. By the age of 18, Kendel was already one of the strongest men in the world.
Kendel was riding with a group of men north of his village when his tribe was attacked by The Red Wizards of Thay in an effort to steal a magic item that the chief of the tribe possessed. Everyone in the village was killed, including Kendel's mother, father, and young sisters. He swore revenge against the Red Wizards.
Seeking others who would aid him, Kendel traveled to the world of the city-men, stopping in the city of Waterdeep to send word that he was looking to travel to the east (to Thay) among the normal roads, and was looking for guides.
The Soaring Blade came to see Kendel fight in the arena, and then took him up on his offer. He was to travel with them for a while, then depart, possibly in Cormyr.
However, on thier first adventure Kendel and the Soaring Blade met up with the Red Wizards themselves, as well as the evil priest Fzoul, and succeeded in defeating those foes. Instead of traveling on to Thay itself, Kendel decided that he could best serve his goal by stopping the Red Wizards where they might strike outside thier own land. He chose to stay with the Blade.
After the disbanding of the Soaring Blade, Kendel has traveled the realms, still seeking adventure and solitude at the same time. He has been known to show up from time to time in Llorkth and Waterdeep. Where he is now and what he is doing is anyone's guess.
Bard's Tale:
Kendal Moonsun crossed the realm
With Orcan skulls he sharpened his blade.
Off to the far lands of Thay he rode
Retribution for the choices they'd made.
When the past came looking for Thay that year,
A bright city was what it had found.
By the time Kendal had finished his quest,
Thay lay ashen, razed into the ground
From temple remains Kendal fashioned a boat
He had finished the final quest he had chose.
Never before did a river run through Thay,
Kendal sailed away on the blood of his foes.
