Inamsu (History)
Inamsu Goldwind is one of the most powerful priests in the Realms, and the most powerful of all the priests of Tyr in level of mastery. His word carries great weight throughout the church. A strange thing, considering that this priest of a human deity is an elf.
Inamsu did not always worship a human deity, but in in early childhood, he saw one of the clansmen in his realm of elves brutally beat an unarmed human for coming onto elven land, although the human was only near the elven boundry. Inamsu reported what he had seen to the elder council, who proceeded to ignore the incident.
Inamsu could not bring himself to dismiss what had happened. The elf responsible should have been punished.
The following week, a group of humans came to the elven realm, and with them a powerful priest of Tyr, the human deity of justice. The priest, Dalmonius, demanded that the elf responsible for the beating be punished. Again, the council ignored the request, and even tried to lie to cover their own guilt. This time their injustice would not come without a price.
The priest of Tyr cast a mighty spell over the elven council and the elf responsible for the beating, causing them to feel the pain that they had caused the innocent man. Once each year, he cursed, the council and the agressor would be anguished in pain for an entire day. Thus cast, the spell had it's effect, and the entire council fell into pain for the rest of the day. The elven people were so awed by this feat that they did not challenge the priest any longer.
Inamsu was so impressed that he followed the priest as he traveled from his woodland home, swearing to follow the god that was willing to bring justice to horrible crimes. Dalmonius took Inamsu back to the church of Tyr in the mighty city of Waterdeep, and from there he learned to serve justice.
Upon becoming a full member of the clergy, Inamsu left the temple to find injustice across the Realms. Meeting a young group of adventurers called The Blade, he joined their ranks as an advisor and healer. When the need was called for, he was also a protector and a warrior.
After the Blade's many adventures, in which Inamsu quested for and finally found the mighty Hammer of Tyr, Inamsu decided to locate his own temple in the kingdom of Llorkth, an area ruled by his friend, Artaylium Stenis. He has served as the king's lawmaker and high priest for many years.
