Aspects
King Trimalon rules the Peaks in the Ice, a large chain of mountains that lie within the center of the Great Glaicer. The King's fortress is hidden beneath a sheet of magical ice, almost the size of a mountain itself and hollowed out to cradle his great castle and it's surrounding forest and village. Although once a secret, the King as opened himself to trade, out of necessity rather than anything else, as the small kingdom has begun to grow and needs trader to visit the kingdom to bring supplies. To aid in gathering supplies, the King has a fleet of airships, huge, white, butterfly-shaped flying vessels that visit other kingdoms, rather than having travelers try to cross the hazerdous Great Glaicer to hsi kngdom.
From here, Trimalon has what could be called a small paradise, but the paradise does not come without a price. The King has many concerns, including:
Trimalon, "The Ice Kingdom"
Leader: King Windo Trimalon
Type: Mining, 98% human
Location: The small kingdom lies within an ice glaicer, magically given temprate conditions by the power of the artifact the king possesses. Apparently, once the gem has been used in this fashion the region stays in this manner even if the gem travels the world or even into other planes; it is unknown what would happen if the king (or someone else) tried to use the gem to cancel the effects on this region.
Population: 800 humans, 20 or so other
Allies: None official
Known Foes: None (no one would dare cross the ice glaicer to attack a small kingdom!)
Armies: +16 (about 20% of the population of humans)
Army Equipment: Average
Men-at-arms: None (the regular militia patrols the city)
Men-at-arms Equipment: n/a
Special Forces: None, although King Trimalon has excellent relations with the ice elves and might be able to call on their aid, although their forces are small
Training: High
Food/Supplies +2
Trimalon must have enough food to feed his people. Supplies must be maintained; the weather can often hinder or even stop trade.
Airships 8
Trimalon has 8 airships. Created by the snow elves in return for supplies and protection when called for, they are quite expensive to make.
Coffers +0
Although at one time very full, King Trimalon's effort to create the great Pass has taken quite a toll on his coffers. The wealth of the kingdom is neccessary to continue trade!
Traders
This aspect covers how well other kingdoms (Vassa, Damara, and Narfell) view the Ice Kingdom, which will affect the expense of trading with them.
Weather
The weather changes constantly in the great glaicer, from calm to raging storms. King Trimalon has little control over the weather.
The Great Pass
The Ice King has decided that it would be of great service to his own kingdom and the Realms to create a treavel route across the north of the world, across the Great Glaier and the Great Desert, leading to the Savage Frontier, which holds Llorkth, Silverymoon, Landergale and Waterdeep. As it stands, it takes several months to make the journey from the Dales (south of the ice kingdom) to Waterdeep. A route bypassing the journey would increae trade to the north from the ice kingdom and vice versa tenfold.
The route is expensive and so far treacherous. Small fotresees have to be constrcted along the path already forged into the Glaicer to aid those traveling from the weather and the mosters along the path. The Great desert has so far swallowed up any camps made there, and the Phaerimm and other creatures there have killed many of Trimalon's men. With the Phae appearing, there could be hope, however.
Justice
This aspect covers how well the people of the ice kingdom think they are being treated, and reflects the level of Justice in general.
Happiness
The people that live in the ice glaicer are a rare breed, and are generaly happy unless outside influences hinder them, or if they run low on supplies. A low Happiness score could lead to unrest among the people.
To aid him in his decisions, the Ice King has the following voices to listen to
