Earthquakes shake the entire kingdom, and a mighty volcano erupts from the ground at the southern end of the Darkwood Mountains. Her evil minions begin pouring fourth in numbers far to great to challenge. Golden Keep is destroyed in a day. This is the beginning of the Great War.</div> </tD> </tR> </TABLE></B></div> <bR> <div>   The greatest of the grand fortresses built in the ancient days of Arember, Golden Keep was more suited for giants than men, it's walls said to be too tall to climb and too high to fire arrows over. It stood for over 500 years, easily surviving every challenge. It's defenses included giant-sized bastilla, catapults, and other impressive machinery to fire out (or above). It numbered thousands of troops and hundreds of archers, if needed. </div> <div>   However, all of this was no match for the forces of the Dark Queen, who used the might of the armies of Shadows that could not be harmed by normal weapons. Alas, the soilders only needed silver to harm these creatures, but they did not know this, and all perished in the onslaught of the Shadows. The mighty Golden Fortress fell in a single day, it's weaponry useless and it's walls destroyed by the magic of the Queen.</div> </td> </tr></table></body>
